We are pleased to present this 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Midnight Blue Metallic over a Florentine Grey interior. Sold new in Illinois, this 993 spent time in Georgia and Connecticut before being acquired by the third and current owner out of Massachusetts in 2011. It came factory equipped with a desirable limited-slip differential, Automatic Braking Differential (ABD), and supple leather front and rear seats. Having recently undergone an engine rebuild at a cost of over $17k, this 993 is now being offered with just under 72k miles showing on the odometer.
This 993 comes finished in Midnight Blue Metallic (39C) with a dark blue power-retractable soft top. The car is said to have been completely refinished to address cosmetic imperfections and the seller describes the paint to remain nicely presented, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Carrera rides on a set of 18” Turbo-look wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The wheels feature colored Porsche center crests and exhibit some curb rash around the edges.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a Florentine Grey (PT) partial leather interior with optional 8-way power-operated supple leather seats. Factory features include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, and a 6-disc CD changer. The original Becker Porsche CR-210 cassette stereo remains in place and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine rated at 282 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual gearbox with an optional limited-slip differential and Automatic Braking Differential (ABD) traction control system. In August of 2021, a full engine rebuild was carried out by European Performance Engineering at a cost of over $17k. A corresponding invoice is provided in the gallery along with another invoice showing the clutch to have been replaced in 2013.
This sale will include owner's manuals, a toolkit, jack, service invoice, and a clean title.

I don't know why there was an emissions failure in 2001/2003. I bought the car ten years ago and I never had an issues with emissions. Nothing had to be corrected. Thanks for the question
Hey there- interested in this beautiful 993 but can you give me some info on the 2001-2003 failing of emissions inspection in GA? Just looks like an anomaly and assuming there have been no issues with inspections since then?
Hi everyone. It is with great hesitation that I'm selling this beauty. She runs beautifully. To my knowledge needs nothing. I am selling because I rarely drive it and don't have room in my garage. I'd be happy to answer any questions. PPI's welcome. Thanks for looking
