We are pleased to present this 1997 BMW Z3 2.8 Roadster finished in Montreal Blue over a Cashmere Beige interior. Based on the E36 platform, the Z3 was developed by BMW as a rear-wheel-drive two-seater sports car, and this particular example features the larger M52 straight 6-cylinder engine paired with 4-speed automatic transmission. As the higher specification Z3, this 2.8L example features a widened rear stance, a slightly more aggressive front fascia, larger kidney grilles, and dual exhaust tips. With just over 35k miles showing on the odometer, this Z3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

This Z3 is finished in Montreal Blue and features a manually operated tan convertible soft top, front fender vents, and fog lights. Scrapes can be seen on the underside of the front bumper and the seller notes the front hood to have likely been refinished at some point, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This Z3 rides on factory 16” Style 18 wheels dressed in Continental Conti Sport Contact tires showing date codes from 2007.

Inside, you will find a nicely preserved Cashmere Beige pebble grain interior with fine wood trim on the center console and gear selector.  Factory features include a climate control system, heated and power-operated seats, power windows, a digital clock, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The seller notes that an aftermarket Pioneer head unit has been installed in place of the original radio.

For the 1997 model year, Z3 customers were given the option of a more powerful M52 straight-six engine with a displacement of 2.8L. Approximately 190 HP and 207 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
