Now available for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black partial leather interior. This 6-speed 1997 example was first registered in Michigan where it remained up until 2013 when it was acquired by the current owner at approximately 46k miles. It came factory optioned with the Motor Sound Package, 17” Cup 2 wheels, and a luggage compartment in place of rear seats. It has also been modified with a custom sound system, powdercoated wheels, and a set of TechArt exhaust tips. Routinely serviced and sparingly driven throughout the current ownership with just under 50k miles showing on the odometer, this 993 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
This 993 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black cabriolet soft top. Contrasting black stone guards have been applied to the rear fenders and a set of wide oval TechArt chrome exhaust tips have been installed on the original mufflers. The factory 17” Cup 2 wheels have also been custom powdercoated black and fitted with monochromatic Porsche crest center caps. The lower front bumper has been refinished for cosmetic purposes and the seller notes the cabriolet top was replaced under prior ownership. Falken Ziex ZE 512 are mounted in front and new Nankang Noble Sport tires were fitted in the rear about two years ago within the last 500 miles. The cabin is trimmed in black partial leather and features an optional luggage compartment in place of the rear seats. An upgraded Kenwood head unit has been installed and the rear storage cubbies have been turned into custom enclosures housing two Kicker subwoofers and MTX amplifiers. The factory specifications label on the underside of the hood shows the following options:

This 993 Carrera features an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine factory equipped with a Varioram induction system and optional Motor Sound Package. As much as 282 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with a short shifter. Service records show a new clutch and flywheel to have been installed under previous ownership at 44,422 miles. All other routine maintenance has been kept up to date by the current owner including regular oil and filter changes.

@Rennster Honestly I never use the AC it probably needs a recharge I do not have a Tonnele cover and the doors in the pillars lineup perfect no issues

- Does a tonneau cover for the Cabriolet roof exist?
- How are the door restraint connections to the a-pillars? (often messed up and noisy on 993s)

@artichoke @artichokeGood Afternoon, not sure what your are referencing about the miles , the car fax spells out the actual miles on the car from previous owners to me. As mentioned , I used the car sparingly and always maintained it with care.
Good Am ! I Just take the car for Sunday drives once in a while , and there is never been a check engine light on ever. I baby this car! Sits on a rubber floor and has never seen rain . This car is perfect.
Any issues with check engine lights coming on? Have the manifold ports ever been cleaned? On the Carfax Report, the first owner had the car for 13 years @ over 6,000 miles a year for 81,700 miles but the total mileage shown is only 49,700 miles! How is that possible?
The top works perfect ! Everything works!
Does the top still operate automatically? Or converted to manual? Thx
