This 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 4S comes finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a Midnight Blue full leather interior and was modified by legendary German automotive tuning firm and sports car manufacturer Lotec (TTP Automotive GmbH). The car features a bi-plane rear spoiler and a 440 HP upgrade package including a custom twin turbocharger kit, an air-to-water intercooler, sport camshafts, a front-mounted oil cooler, and a TTP sport clutch. This 993 was originally configured for the German home market and came optioned with heated supple leather seats, Litronic xenon headlights, and a sunroof. It was acquired by the current owner after it was imported to the U.S. in 2003 with approximately 44k miles and was subsequently serviced with replacement turbochargers. Now showing approximately 78k miles on the odometer, this rare Lotec-tuned Carrera 4S is being offered for auction by its longtime owner out of Oregon.
The 993 Carrera 4S shares the wide bodyshell of the contemporary 911 Turbo as well as its bumpers, rocker panels, and red-painted brake calipers. This 1997 example is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic (L3A2) and equipped with clear European-spec turn signal lenses and side markers as well as a rear window wiper, a third brake light, and optional Litronic bi-xenon headlights. A custom rear decklid and bi-plane spoiler were installed by Lotec. This 993 rides on 18” 911 Turbo wheels with”4S” logo center caps. The seller notes some cosmetic imperfections are present including rock chips on the hood, scrapes on the underside of the front bumper, and a scrape on the rear near the license plate. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Midnight Blue full leather upholstery including optional heated supple leather seats. Other equipment includes power windows and mirrors, a central locking system, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, and an aftermarket boost gauge integrated into the center console.
The air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine was modified by Lotec for a claimed output of up to 440 HP including a custom twin turbo setup, an air-to-water intercooler, sport camshafts, and a front-mounted oil cooler. The Lotec invoice also shows the 6-speed manual transmission was re-geared and paired with an upgraded TTP sport clutch. Invoices from Lotec are provided in the gallery. The seller notes the turbochargers were replaced at approximately 44k miles and there are no outstanding service items at this time.
This sale will include some records, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery charger, and a clean title.

Able thanks so much for the fairly comprehensive inspection and report. Sounds like at least $30k in repairs, plus the unknowns… I’ll sit out and watch for about 22 minutes…
@Miner49er let me take a look at the car yesterday. He graciously allowed me all the time I needed to go over the car. The seller was a great guy and wasn't trying to hide anything. He shared everything he had with me. I asked him if the motor had been opened up and 8.5:1 pistons and different camshafts were installed. We came to the conclusion that the motor is stock and was not opened up. We also believe that the transmission was not re-geared. All compartments were opened and I removed the frunk carpeting. I'm just an individual who currently owns a factory 1996 993 Turbo that I personally converted to 2wd and do most of my own work on it. So I'm pretty familiar with these cars but you should not consider me a Porsche expert. Here are my finding, take them for what they're worth:
1) The driver's door check was obviously repaired in the worst way possible(it looks as bad in person as it does in the pictures) and it would drive me crazy to leave it that way, so it should be professionally repaired from the back side. As the seller stated I also found that the passenger door check is broken. Plan on repairing both.
2) The paint - at some point in time portions or all of the car has been repainted. The current state of the paint is not salvageable. A paint correction will not save it. The seller agreed with me that it needs a new paint job. I also found around 6 dings on the body but those would be remedied with a re-paint.
3) Frunk and engine compartment shocks are toast. Not a big deal but they need to be replaced.
4) Tires - rears are 2012 and front are 2007 and both are different manufactures. Obviously it needs new tires.
5) Wheels have some curb rash but can be repaired.
6) Interior is in pretty good shape relative to the exterior but doesn't look as good the pictures but I do like the blue.
7) The engine fan bearing are going out and the fan is making contact with the fan housing. One of the fan blades is cracked. It will need a new fan and bearings. I would not drive it this way.
8) There is no clear coat left on all 4 brakes calipers. I would rebuild and repaint them.
The seller cold started to car in front of me. It fired up like you would expect and there was zero smoke and it sounded right to me. He let me drive the car and I was surprised how well it drove. The idle was solid and it drove straight down the road. I didn't hear any creaks or rattles. The shifter felt good for being stock and I went through all the gears including reverse without any issues, grinding or noises. After it warmed up I ran it through second and third gear. There was no drama, the turbos came on smooth and it pulled about like a stock 993 turbo. I also found no signs of structural damage and I believe the car to be straight. I'm sure I forgot some things but I hope this helps.
If anyone has any questions for me let know.

@BetaSteve @Able tore the boot apart on Sunday looking for the IC components and wasn't able to find them either, so I called the Mechanic this morning. The IC is a glycol closed-loop system. The pump is on the driver's side tucked under the engine and there is a fill tube in the same area. You raise the fill tube above the IC to fill it and there is an air bleeder valve on the top of the IC enclosure to release pressure while you fill. When fluid comes out the valve, it's full. No reservoir.

Saw tent city in California around Interstate 10 on both sides and paid $7.59 for chevron 91 octane, in Texas within 24 hours shell v power 93 $4.89. I even introduced the cat to hooters and a few other churches along the way, all for less than $700.
My phone was acting on that’s why the two bids, I’m completely fine with the second higher bud.

To clarify, this car is currently registered in OR with a clean US title. In our summation, the only challenges one may or may not have to get this car registered would depend on smog equipment for places such as CA. Bidders should do their due diligence on that piece. Photo 129 displays a US EPA sticker, we will also post a photo of the title as we received the seller's permission to do so. His personal information will be redacted from the photo.

@Miner49er. Thank you for the honesty. I’m going to call a local company that moves exotics and race cars all the time , I know the owner he races vipers. I could actually drive there if I wanted. The flight to Medford were cheap like $225. I got two awesome mechanics down here. That kn cone filter looks extremely dirty also. GLWTS, I’m still in it.

@luis.seneriz Cannonball Run? Love it! Actually, bidder Able came and test drove the card this this weekend and I need to post a few updates that he found with the car.
1) The passenger door check strap is also broken, but the good news is that the butcher that welded the drivers side won't be hired again.
2) Able spotted a crack in one of the fan blades. I'd say this is a no-go for the 2300 mile trip. That should be addressed before a road trip of any length.
3) Able pointed out some overspray on the drivers rear window which could explain the paint checking.
Any particular issues why this car wouldn’t make the 2300 mile trip from there to Houston?. The twin turbo I bought here I picked it up in Cali and drove 1698 miles. This one will break the record. I love driving and none of my cars are garage queens. It’s a lot of fun going supersonic shifting gears at 3 am in the morning. Only bad thing I have to go thru California specifically San Francisco and that’s probably one of the worst places in the US right now.

@Billan What are the issues with registering in CA? I’ve been trolling the DMV site and I can’t find any references unless I was the direct importer?
I’m asking Pcar to weigh in on this. My understanding was that after a car was 25 years old, importation issues fell away. That may just be Oregon though.
If it has a clean/clear Oregon title i don't see any issues registering the car to any other States not sure about Cali though do they look beyond the legal title when you register a car there? Can you post a photo of the title? you may cover the personal infos for privacy but must show the VIN #, mileage, and status to make sure it's an A (actual mileage) and not a salvage,flood,police,taxi,lemon, etc... thanks

The intercooler is the yellow box on the top right of the engine compartment. It is a sealed air-to-water system, the yellow box houses the heat exchanger and the radiator is in the front grill. I have not spotted the pump but I'll take a look tonight.
More info on the intercooler system please, is it the yellow box next to the oil tank?
Where is the water reservour mounted, pump if used, air flow from?

The underside images have been uploaded, and I also included the invoice from the turbo rebuild. It includes the routine maintenance that was done in 2005. Since our ownership in 2003, all service has been done at the same shop and those records are scanned in as well.

Welcome! We are so excited for the next owner of this beautiful car. This is my father’s Porsche. He purchased it in 2003 and as you can see from the mileage, he drove it very sparingly. It did log a few laps at Thunderhill, but other than that he drove from the garage to the country house. It is an eye-turner, extremely fast, and expect delays from on-lookers at every fill-up. 😊

The best views of the turbos are the images taken of the engine out of the car during the conversion. You can see them very clearly from that view. I looked through the documentation and can't find any reference to the size. There is mention of 8:5:1, but honestly, I'm not sure how to interpret that :-)
According to the LOTEC/TTP paperwork, the only transmission modification was the clutch.
@drb930 What you're looking at is a repair that was done to the retaining arm. It came to us having been repaired and the repair failed early in our ownership. We had it re-welded and it hasn't given us any trouble since.
@artichoke I can't speak to the smog test. It is currently exempt from smog requirements in our area because of its age.
I checked back with the mechanic and they were not changed out, they were rebuilt because of oil leaking.
What happened to the A-Pillar/Door Post in picture #103?
Can you please post some pictures of underneath the car? any pictures of the turbos? What size are turbos? Was the transmission re done or upgraded to accommodate power?
Any issues passing regular EPA and Smog tests in Maryland with the modifications?
Why were the Turbos changed out? Were they replaced with the same Mfg and size?
