Finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a Cashmere Beige interior, this 6-speed 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe was reportedly kept by its original owner until 2017 and has since been treated to several high-end upgrades and modifications. It features a custom 3.8-liter flat-six engine built to RS specifications by Patrick Motorsports along with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, H&R sway bars, a Sleepers short-throw shifter, a custom front bumper, Guntherwerks LED taillights, 18” 911 Turbo wheels, an Atiwe RUF-style steering wheel, custom houndstooth hardback Sport Seats, Rennline pedals, and more. Acquired by the seller in 2024, this one-of-a-kind 993 is now being offered for auction out of Ohio with approximately 36k miles showing on the odometer.

This 993 came factory-finished in Ocean Blue Metallic and has been modified with OEM Litronic xenon headlights, Guntherwerks LED taillights, gold powder-coated exhaust tips, and a custom front bumper with integrated brake ducts and fog lights. Other equipment includes clear side marker lenses, headlamp washers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, an electric sunroof, Porsche-branded brake calipers, a “3.8” decklid grille badge, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The car rides on Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires from 2021. The seller notes higher paint meter readings on the rear quarter panels and driver’s side door as well as slight blend lines on the C-pillars indicating previous paintwork. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, the Cashmere Beige and Black partial leather interior has been modified with a pair of custom 996-derived Sport Seats featuring painted body-color backrests and houndstooth cloth centers along with matching door panels and rear seat inserts. Other modifications include a three-spoke Atiwe RUF-style steering wheel, drilled aluminum Rennline pedals, an extended Sleepers short shift lever, coco floor mats, and a newer Blaupunkt head unit. The car is also equipped with power windows, air conditioning, cruise control, a central locking system, a locking glovebox, and analog VDO instrumentation.

The air-cooled M64 flat-six Varioram engine has been rebuilt to 3.8-liter RS specifications by Patrick Motorsports including new Mahle pistons, rebuilt cylinder heads, a new timing chain, chain rails, gaskets, spark plugs, hardware, a lightweight single-mass flywheel, and a replacement exhaust. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been upgraded with Bilstein PSS10 coilovers and H&R sway bars. Some service records are provided for reference in the gallery.

This sale will include the original headlights and steering wheel, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I love a well-sorted and nicely upgraded 911, and this one is absolutely fantastic. Finished in a beautiful and rare color combination, upgraded with the RIGHT parts, and done by reputable shops, this 993 is just rowdy enough to make the driver giggle, but just sedate enough to be useable on a daily basis. Being a car dealer it's difficult not to want to keep everything, and I can say without a doubt that if I didn't have a '79 Porsche hot rod built already, this car would absolutely be kept in the personal collection. I enjoyed a weekend with this car and it was glorious.”

    @sblack20-

At some point with a previous owner the front bumper was changed out (for taste) and a Blaupunkt classic unit was installed that is pretty slick, it has bluetooth and navigation and looks OG, but with modern functionality. We did not get either of those items with the car - what you see in the listing photos here is what you get!

  • sblack20 (registered bidder) 3 days, 9 hoursago

I assume the euro turbo bumper or porsche classic radio are not coming with the car?

@Bmnc1818 the car had an aftermarket ducktail on it, not the factory aerokit. That was removed and the factory decklid installed.

The steering wheel was done as a matter of taste. I personally am not a fan of the original 4-spoke wheel and love the RUF-style wheel. As the old saying goes “the customer is always right in matters of taste”.

@Bmnc1818 I just saw that original steering wheel is included. Just curious why the swap

  • Bmnc1818 (registered bidder) 5 days, 21 hoursago

Does the car still have the aero kit? Deck lid

Does it have original steering wheel? Any reason known why that was swapped?

The Patrick receipt specifies a dyno power run and printed results. Maybe a concerned party could contact Patrick and see if they still had the sheet for the car in their system. Alternatively, I wager they have done MANY of the same build and could give pretty accurate standard power numbers that the build produces.

  • switchcars (seller) 1 weekago

@sblack20 We do not have a physical dyno sheet. I've never personally valued them much other than for bragging rights. I just enjoy the drive!

  • sblack20 (registered bidder) 1 weekago

@switchcars yeah should be a big improvement, just would be nice to see the exact numbers plotted out.

  • switchcars (seller) 1 weekago

@sblack20 Butt dyno says it's fantastic and a big improvement over the 285hp in the stock 3.6L

  • sblack20 (registered bidder) 1 weekago

    Any dyno numbers?

  • carguru29 (registered bidder) 1 week, 1 dayago

    @switchcars You are correct.

  • switchcars (seller) 1 week, 1 dayago

@carguru29 The 993 C2 has pretty aggressively flared rear fenders, which is why many people think that a narrow body is a wide body, but this is the "narrow body" Carrera 2, ironically with more noticeable flares than a 996 widebody.

  • carguru29 (registered bidder) 1 week, 1 dayago

Is this Turbo wide body ?

  • switchcars (seller) 1 week, 1 dayago

@Jelbehai The paintwork exists on the door and the rear quarter. We've only owned the car for about one month of its 27-year existence; it could have been done at any point in time for any reason!

The exhaust has a great, deep tone, I wouldn't say it drones, but it definitely has audio presence at all times. Some people love that; it's not for everybody though.

There is a fair amount of stone chips on the front end, but I would describe it as relatively normal for the miles. Remember this car was made in an age where PPF was not a thing, and the front end is original paint without PPF. Nowadays we're conditioned to see cars with high miles and no chips because PPF is ubiquitous on newer cars.

  • Jelbehai 1 week, 1 dayago

Hi, nice looking 993. A few questions:

Maybe it's the pics, but there seems to be a lot of chips on the bumper and hood? Almost like it got caught behind a gravel train. 😬 Just the pics, or correct.

Any insight in to the repaint on door&rear quarter?

From the driving video, seemed quite a bit of drone. It that just the phone/recording, or is there a noticeable amount of drone.

    Thanks much.
