The 993 generation marked the end of an era for Porsche's air-cooled 911 Turbo, being the first to embrace a twin-turbocharged engine coupled with an all-wheel-drive system. This 1997 example comes finished in Guards Red over Black and Cashmere Beige full leather interior and features a power sunroof, wheel caps with colored Porsche crests, and more. This one-owner 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts while showing just under 28k miles on the odometer.

Compared to a 993 Carrera, the Turbo model features widened sills and rear bodywork, a body-colored rear spoiler, and redesigned bumpers with three front air inlets. This example is finished in Guards Red (L84A) and is equipped with factory 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport N3 tires from 2014. The seller observes a minor curb rash on the underside of the front bumper and a small piece missing from the driver's side rear stone guard although paint damage is not present. A clear coat was applied to the body paint in late 2018. Additionally, the seller notes body repair to the left front bumper and a minor bump to the left rear bumper corner. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to the left front area in April 2003. Paint meter readings are also shown in the gallery.

The cabin presents Black and Cashmere Beige (YA) full leather upholstery. Equipment includes an 8-way power-operated driver’s seat, power windows and mirrors, a central locking system, automatic climate control, cruise control, a locking glovebox, Coco floor mats, a Becker-Porsche CDR-210 stereo with remote control, and an aftermarket K40 stealth radar. The seller notes minor wear on the seats and reports all gauges, electronics, and accessories to be working properly.

The air-cooled twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard features include the dynamic Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes the turbochargers were replaced in 2018, and the chain covers and valve covers were replaced in 2021. Additionally, the clutch accumulator was replaced in 2021, along with new belts installed at 27k miles. A new battery was installed and an oil service was performed on October 25, 2023.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, service documents, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a battery charger, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for considering this beautiful, original owner Porsche 993 Turbo. I am very pleased to present this near-perfect 993TT on PCARMARKET. This 911 Turbo is an excellent example and drives as new. The original owner is no longer able to enjoy this car as it was designed due to his age and current health. It has always been kept in a heated/private garage and maintained by Porsche professional technicians. I look forward to being responsive to all comments and questions as the auction proceeds. Bid often and bid to win!”

If there were ever a car I dreamt about, this is it. For me - this is the perfect spec. Absolutely stunning. Unfortunately when I reached into my pockets, I only pulled out rabbit ears. Being only 30 min from me - this would have been the ultimate dream car to go pick up!!! Best of luck with the auction. (I am going to check my lottery tickets now to see if I've won!)

Good day bidders and watchers. I truly hope that you are enjoying the auction so far. I would like to reiterate that I have personally driven this Carrera and find it exceptional in it's performance. Shifting, braking, acceleration, steering...all electronics and HVAC systems are 100%. Please feel free to reach out through the "contact seller" message board should you have a private question. @twinvipers - good question, thank you.
It was not sprayed...more like a liquid paint sealant that was hand applied and buffed into the paint. Not ceramic. The company that applied it in 2018 is now out of business due to COVID.

  • twinvipers (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

    Sorry

    Clear coat applied

  • twinvipers (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

Qhat does it mean "a clear was sprayed over the whole car"? Like it was clear coated over?

@Jbwz65 - thank you for your questions.
We do not have the original window sticker and PCNA no longer offers this service. A similar document can be ordered. https://vehicledocumentation.porsche.com/usa/
It has a built in battery tender as described and illustrated in the gallery, a K40 Stealth radar, currently a single key and remote while we are in search for the second.
The "incident" in 2003 was minor to the driver's front bumper corner and unable to secure the paperwork for that. As you know, Carfax knows no boundaries. A closer look will show that the "vehicle was inspected after an incident". There are no pain lines or any other displays of paintwork to this car.

  • Jbwz65 (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@NHCarguy. Do you have the original window sticker and the spare keys? Any photos of the accident damage or related receipts that would confirm what was done or the extent of the damage? Any other accessories (battery tender, cover, etc) that come with the car?

  • 911Geezer (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

    Thank you

  • NHCarguy (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@911Geezer - I've uploaded pictures of the 2015 repair order. Total (including the tires) exceeds $2,200. Cheers!

  • NHCarguy (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@911Geezer - thank you for your comments.
Yes, the work orders in question are out of sequence. They refer to the turbo chargers being replaced at that time @26K miles.
All gauges work as they should. The left side oil sump gauge wasn't recording properly (user error, but there was no issue and it performs correctly as all do.
All 4 tires were replaced on 4/2015 at 24,513 miles along with a 4 wheel alignment.. That is documented along with some other records. I suggest that you refer to the Carfax report to review the service history. While we have most, we may not have all.

  • 911Geezer (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@NHCarguy - Can you clarify the following:

    - Pic 192 shows an invoice dates 7/3/2018 for just over $6k. It is page 2 of 2, however provides no detail on the work performed, I believe page 1 is shown in pic 199 and simply out of sequence in the photo gallery. Can you confirm.

    - Pic 198 - There is a comment from the tech indicating the oil gauge was not reading, however I didn’t see anything to indicate it was diagnosed and resolved. Can you confirm the oil gauge is working

    - I read two different service comments about the tire age (one indicating they were 6 years old and then another later comment indicating 10 years). Based on the description above the same 10 year old tires are still on the car, is that correct?

    - Finally the oldest service document that appears in the photo gallery is dated 2018, as a one owner car can we assume you have all the other service documents dating back to when the car was purchased? It would be helpful to see those records to confirm the car was maintained according to the Porsche service schedule.

    Thanks

@Clay7484 I would take that bet. That said, the Goldmiester tech has been with Porsche for nearly 25 years and knows this car and the owner. He is very knowledgeable and capable to perform any repair or tests on any Porsche. I've known him for 15 of those years and trust his opinion. Anyone interested can certainly have one performed at their expense. I will reimburse for any associated expense should it fail.

  • Clay7484 (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

10 to 1 the tech didn’t know how to perform the tests.

  • NHCarguy (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@CB911 The knob in image 81 is for the K40 Stealth radar. Sorry for not disclosing that up front and will be sure it gets added to the script.
I agree with the tires. They are in excellent condition, without any dry rot or road force. I've driven this car, and as a former Porsche Brand Ambassador it drives great. We decided not to replace in October as it is a minor issue. Many Porsche owners are very particular about the brand they drive on. Although it's low mileage...it does get driven frequently.
I trust the Goldmeister tech that has frequently serviced this 911. One of the best in the Northeast, if not the country.

  • CB911 (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

    Thanks for the quick response!
I don't know that a leak down/compression test/PPI is ever a waste of time and money especially on a car that has largely sat for ten plus years and has 9 year old tires on it.

  • NHCarguy (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

@CB911 Good day! I had the car serviced in October last year (2023). The Porsche tech advise me that a leak down/compression test and a PPI was a waste of time and money on this car. All is good.
-The roof antenna is for the satellite radio and is attached with adhesive. Might not want to remove it.
    - Image 78 might have to due with the security system
    - Image 81? Not sure...but will follow up if you wish

  • CB911 (registered bidder) 3 months, 3 weeksago

    Great looking car! Few questions....
-Have you done a leak down or compression test? If not, is it possible to get that done?
-How is the antenna on the roof mounted? Ie, easily removable?
-What is the center console switch on image 78?
-What is the second knob from the right on the dash on image 81?
    Thanks!

  • NHCarguy (seller) 3 months, 3 weeksago

Thank you for watching and participating in this auction. I promise to be as responsive as I can while always being 100% transparent. Enjoy...
