Now available for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Glacier White over a black full leather interior. The last generation of the air-cooled 911 Turbo, the 993 model debuted a new twin-turbocharged flat-six engine paired with an all-wheel-drive system, lightweight hollow-spoke wheels, and 6-speed manual transmission. This 1997 example was sold new in Los Angeles with options including Exclusive stainless-steel tailpipes, stainless steel door entry guards, supple leather seats, and the Nokia DSP Audio System. Having remained in Los Angles throughout its entire life, this 993 has had three prior caretakers with over 18 years spent with its second owner. Highlighting major recent services including rebuilds of both turbochargers and installation of new shock absorbers, this 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Southern California while showing approximately 45k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo was ordered in Glacier White, a shade debuted for the 1997 model year as the successor to the classic Grand Prix White color offered since the early 1970s. Compared to a standard 993 Carrera, the Turbo features wider fenders, broader rocker panels, a color-matched rear spoiler, and a unique front fascia with three lower air inlets. The paint is described to be in excellent condition overall apart from two minor imperfections on the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Turbo came factory equipped with Exclusive stainless steel tailpipes and lightweight 18” Technology hollow spoke wheels with optional colored Porsche center crests. These wheels have been recently dressed in a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Inside, this Turbo features black full leather upholstery with optional supple leather seats and Exclusive stainless steel door entry guards with model logos. Factory features include an electric sunroof, automatic speed control, a 6-disc remote CD changer, and the Nokia DSP (Digital Sound Processing) Audio System. A rear window wiper, onboard computer, Litronic xenon headlights, and power-operated seats are also equipped as standard. Some light signs of wear are noted on the front seats and the factory specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following options:

The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine generates up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque and features twin K-16 turbochargers, dual-charge air intercoolers, and Bosch Motronic M 5.2 engine management. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to all four wheels while stopping power is handled by red-painted fixed 4-piston aluminum Brembo brake calipers paired with 322mm rotors front and rear. The dynamic limited-slip system with Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential are also equipped as standard. Both turbochargers were rebuilt in 2020 at a cost of over $6k and recent maintenance carried out in preparation for sale includes installation of new shock absorbers, an oil and filter service, clutch and brake fluid flushes, installation of a new engine insulation pad, A/C condenser fan resistor, air filter, drive belts, brake hoses, control arm bushings, and a four-wheel alignment. The seller also notes the car has been recently inspected and passed a California smog test.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, spare tire, service records, and a clean title. A lifelong California car staying true to its original appearance, this well-preserved 993 Turbo is just waiting to be enjoyed by a new caretaker.

Good luck bidders!! The 1997 993 TT is a spectacular car. Mine is glacier white with grey interior and 16,500 miles on the clock. The winning bidder will have a very difficult time trying to wipe the grin off their faces while driving this incredible car. If I’m not mistaken, they were the fastest car on the road when introduced. Your eyes will be glued to it whenever you are done driving for the day.

@ChequeredFlag I know for some this is a museum piece, and I don't completely disagree, but how "spirited" is this as a driver at this stage of its life? If you drive it like a 911 turbo, does it smell like you abused it?
@jallen the customer who was in took a video but we had it running around the neighborhood already at temp. Wouldn't really be a cold start at this point. I can tell you that it was about as perfect a cold start as you can get. Turned on the key and no smoke.

I have a '97 Glacier White/Black 993tt similar to this one. This is my second 993tt and can attest to the rarity of this color combo. It took me 8 years to find mine and the seller's car is the only other one I've seen for sale in 13 years since I started looking. All of the other '97s in Glacier White have either grey, blue or tan interiors. It is a stunning combo and looks spectacular on the 993s beautiful curves. GLWA.

This car is stunning!! I own a 96 GP white 993 TT with black interior and it is the first time I see another white on black 993TT. The combination is stunning and elegant and very rare from what I have gathered. Most cars were optioned in silver, red, black, or Arena Red (The launch color). I have seen a few White 993 TT’s optioned with color interiors, green leather and blue leather but the black is the most elegant and rare IMO. You can check out my car on my IG handle, Porsche911channel, mine was upgraded with PSS10 suspension but otherwise the sister of this car with GP White paint and black interior.
