We are pleased to offer this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Guards Red over a Cashmere Beige and Black partial leather interior. Powered by a 3.6L flat-six engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, this Canadian-spec 993 also features rare and desirable factory options including 18” Technology wheels, heated Racing Style Sport Seats, and the Motor Sound Package. It was purchased by the seller about two years ago and has traveled approximately 300 miles since. Accompanied by a collection of original accessories, this 993 is now being offered for auction out of Maryland while showing just over 39k miles on the odometer.
This Carrera is finished in Guards Red with a black convertible soft top. The only stated flaw is a micro sized dent behind the driver’s door in which the seller notes is too small to photograph. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. Front and rear spoilers have been equipped and this 993 rides on factory optioned Turbo-style 18” Technology wheels featuring colored Porsche center crests and Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, the Cashmere Beige and Black partial leather interior features rare factory-optioned Racing Style Sport Seats. Other factory equipment includes the Heated Front Seats Package, the HiFi Sound Package, and an AM/FM radio with a cassette player. The original stereo system has been retained and all gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional. The seller notes slight wear on the driver’s seat bolster as well as a 3mm tear in the leather shift cover (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).
This 993 is equipped with a 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine rated at 282 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds. The optional Motor Sound Package also includes a more resonant airbox and mufflers for enhanced sound. Since purchasing the car two years ago, the seller has performed engine belt replacements as well as regular oil changes while adding approximately 300 miles. @jarrodborkat The car comes with a nice car cover and a trickle charger, as well as Porsche floor mats that are not pictured. I keep these in the garage to prevent wear and tear.

Hi nwalsh, sorry for the delayed reply. I’m not aware of any odometer switch. There was no reference to it when I bought it from the last seller/car collector and it appears from the car fax report it was imported to the US before it was originally sold. The owners manual shows a picture of the speedometer in miles per hour. I’m happy to do some more investigating if you’ll tell me what I should be asking or who I should be asking.

Beautiful 993, love the color combo. Can you tell me if you have documentation of a speedometer switch and the milage it took place? To my knowledge, all canadian spec cars have a kilometer first speedometer showing miles secondary. Perhaps its documented in the owners service manual.
