We are pleased to offer this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Wimbledon Green Metallic over a Classic Grey interior.  In addition to its striking and exceedingly rare paint color, this 993 was ordered with the exclusive Aluminum/Chrome Package as well as a 6-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, Automatic Brake Differential (ABD), and Turbo-style 18” hollow-spoke wheels.  It was acquired by the seller from its original owner in 2002 and has been routinely maintained ever since including replacement of the valve cover gaskets.  Having spent much of its life in New Jersey, this 993 has recently moved to California with its longtime owner where it is now being offered for auction with approximately 43k miles on the odometer.

This 993 was special ordered in the eye-catching shade of Wimbledon Green, a rarely seen color named for the world-famous tennis championship which Porsche had sponsored over the years.  It also features the exclusive oval stainless-steel tailpipes (X54) included with the Aluminum/Chrome Package.  This Cabriolet comes fitted with a Classic Grey retractable soft top and matching tonneau cover.  A small crack is depicted on the rear bumper, additional images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.  This 993 was factory equipped with optional Turbo-style 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels which are currently dressed in Continental ContiSportContact 3 tires.

Inside, you will find a Classic Grey and black partial leather interior with stainless steel door entry guards and aluminum-look instrument dials included with the Aluminum/Chrome Package as well as an exclusive shift knob and parking brake lever in aluminum.  The original radio has been upgraded to a Porsche CDR-210 unit and the specifications label on the underside of the hood lists the following factory options:

  • X54 – Stainless Steel Tailpipes, Oval
  • X70 – Stainless Steel Door Entry Guards w/ Model Logos
  • X71 – Aluminum-Look Instrument Dials w/ Chromed Rings
  • X97 – Aluminum Shift Knob
  • X98 – Aluminum Parking Brake Lever
  • 220 – Limited Slip Differential (40%)
  • 224 – Automatic Brake Differential (ABD)
  • 240 – Internal Code Relating to Fuel
  • 329 – Porsche CR-210 Cassette-Radio
  • 408 – 18” Technology Wheels
  • 437 – 8-Way Electrical Seat, Left
  • 438 – 8-Way Electrical Seat, Right
  • 454 – Automatic Speed Control
  • 490 – Sound System
  • 551 – Wind Deflector

This 993 is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine that sends up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip differential and Automatic Brake Differential (ABD).  The hood and rear decklid struts are said to have been recently replaced and the car is described to have been kept up to date on all routine maintenance under the current ownership.  A collection of invoices is provided for reference in the gallery.

This sale will include the original toolkit, jack, air pump, cabin wind deflector, service records, and a clean title. Appointed from the factory with some of the rarest and most desirable options available, this stunning 993 Cabriolet awaits its next owner.
