Now up for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Paint to Sample Midnight Blue Metallic over a Classic Grey leather interior. Marking the end of the air-cooled era for the Porsche 911 Turbo, the 993 was among the quickest production cars of its day, featuring a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, all-wheel-drive system, lightweight hollow-spoke wheels, and a 6-speed manual transmission. This 1997 example was purchased new from Porsche Cincinnati and remained under the care of its original owner up until August of 2020. The car was ordered in a Paint to Sample color along with optional supple leather seats and an exclusive leather-covered CD storage compartment. Freshly serviced with new tires, spark plugs, Bilstein shocks, and more, this outstanding 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with just under 38k miles showing on the odometer.
This Turbo was ordered in the Paint to Sample color of Midnight Blue Metallic and features wide fenders, 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels, red Brembo brake calipers, and a body-colored rear spoiler. A few minor stone chips are present on the hood and front bumper and the seller reports the paint to be all original apart from the passenger-side rear quarter panel. This area reads slightly higher than other exterior panels and the seller believes minor cosmetic repair to have likely been carried out at some point, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. The 18” wheels feature Turbo-logo center caps and have been recently dressed in a set of new Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.
Inside, this Turbo has been appointed with Classic Grey leather upholstery and optional supple leather seats. Other options include heated front seats, a sunroof, cruise control, CDR-210 radio, and an exclusive leather-covered CD storage compartment located in the rear center console. A rear window wiper, onboard computer, Litronic xenon headlights, and power-operated seats are also equipped as standard. The seller notes minor wear on the driver seat bolster as well as very small scuff marks on the sunroof headliner and upper dashboard. In August of 2020, the original odometer failed at 37,249 miles and a new 0-mile odometer was subsequently installed by Porsche Kings Valley. The car was driven 463 miles with the new odometer before the seller acquired the car and had the original odometer rebuilt with 463 miles added to compensate for the mileage difference. CARFAX shows a previous "Not Actual Mileage" title to have been issued, although the current Florida title shows no brands and is mileage exempt.
The 993 Turbo carries an air-cooled 3.6L flat-six engine equipped with twin KKK type K-16 turbochargers, dual-charge air intercoolers, hydraulic lifters, and Bosch Motronic M 5.2 engine management. A 6-speed manual transmission sends up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels. The dynamic limited-slip system with Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential are equipped as standard along with red-painted fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with 322mm rotors front and rear. A fresh service was completed in preparation for sale including new spark plugs, tires, Bilstein B6 shock absorbers, and new brake rotors. A recent pre-purchase inspection was also completed by RennHaus of Sarasota, Florida, including a compression test which is available for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include original owner's manuals, a toolkit, an air compressor, and a clean title. Sporting rare and desirable factory specifications, this 993 Turbo benefits from long-term original ownership and is just waiting to be cherished by a new caretaker.

@ChrisA The CarFax in the gallery shows earlier mileage in Ohio, unfortunately we never got the records for it. I've called the Cincinatti Porsche dealer where the car was serviced under original ownership to try and get the records, unfortunately they purged their system, but they were able to confirm that their records showed it was serviced in July 2015 had showed just over 36,000 miles at the time. The car was driven very sparingly as the owner had developed knee problems and would eventually trade it for a PDK Turbo. I wish that I had more documents, and have attempted to get as much information as I can. Hope this helps!

This 1997 Porsche 993 Turbo Coupe is one if just 641 examples built for the US Market, and the last of the air-cooled Turbo cars.
Purchased new at Porsche Cincinnati in October of 1996. This gentleman would go on to own this car until August of 2020 when his long-time-coming knee surgery would finally force a trade for a brand new PDK equipped Porsche Turbo. Showing just over 37,700 miles this stunning 993 Turbo is ready for her next long-term care taker.
Painted in PTS Midnight Blue Metallic (L999 on option sticker as it was not an available color for 1997) over Classic Gray Leather interior. This example benefits from a recent service of fluid change, new Continental tires, brand new Bilstein Shocks, new brake rotors, 4 wheel alignment, and undercarriage detail with close attention paid to keep factory Cosmoline. Equipped with Factory Sunroof, cold A/C, Turbo Hollow Spoke Wheels, and heated L/R Front Seats, owners books, tools, spare tire and pump. A very thorough PPI was done by RennHaus of Sarasota, FL in Sept. 2021. Compression test was an even 150 PSI in each cylinder. New spark plugs were installed as well as a comprehensive driving test, interior functionality and underside inspection. The car passed with flying colors and was given a wonderful bill of health.
Paint meter indicates original 3.8-5Mils all around apart from passenger rear fender which reads 5.8-6.8mils. No indication of damage and matches beautifully with no paint lines. Front bumper and hood have minor chips from being driven and all original paint on bumper and hood. The Turbo Hollow Spoke wheels are in excellent condition with very minor chips on a couple edges. The CarFax is clean and shows no accident history. The mileage shows as exempt as the odometer was rebuilt due to the original owner hitting the trip reset button while the car was in motion and stripped the gears. The indicated mileage of 37,900 is believed to be correct. The car runs and drives beautifully. We have put on around 400+ miles and the car performs flawlessly. The A/C blows cold, the original radio works great, the power seats, windows and sunroof all operate properly. This 993 Turbo is ready for the next open road.
