We are pleased to present this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera 2S with custom RUF upgrades. Highly sought after for its limited production number, factory widebody, and rear-wheel-drive configuration, this 993 also showcases an Aerokit rear spoiler well as desirable upgrades from RUF. This incredible 993 C2S is now being offered in superb condition by its seller in Florida while showing just over 32k miles on the odometer.
The Guards Red finish is said to be in excellent original condition (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). A chip is depicted on the front windshield and the seller indicates the removable clear stone guards to be original and slightly deteriorated due to age. The 993 C2S is characterized by its wide Turbo-style body and split grille design decklid which has been replaced with an Aerokit rear spoiler on this example. This Carrera 2S rides on desirable 5-spoke RUF wheels dressed in healthy Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, you will find a nicely presented Black leather interior with a factory-optioned sunroof and power-operated seats. The cabin is said to be in great shape with only minor signs of wear including a small chip depicted on the emergency brake handle. An aftermarket Alpine stereo has been installed along with an upgraded RUF steering wheel and a short shift kit. All gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine sends 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with factory optional limited-slip differential. An upgraded RUF suspension and exhaust system have been installed along with a RUF front strut brace to enhance the overall road-going performance. A major service is said to have been carried out prior to the current owner’s purchase last year and the car is reported to be in excellent running order, startup and driving videos are included below for reference.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, a clean title, and some service records as well as the original books, tools, jack, air compressor, and spare tire. If you are in search of a 993 Carrera S, this low-mileage RUF-upgraded example is not to be overlooked.

@Karamountzos Ive seen many times when the Aero Kit is added that clear is blended into the quarters. Very common and not a big deal. Nice car, sorry I am not in the market today or I would be bidding. The wheels and steering wheel really set this car of, very unique. Good luck.
@rickdgilbert There is no evidence of any paint on the car at all. All seals, rubbers, molding, all stickers etc. The car is available to view and encouraged. Clean carfax. This car has sat under a cover in a garage most it’s life.

Any thoughts on the inconsistent paint meter reading? hood 4.5. door 6.0. front & rear quarter panels, wing, bumper all 7.0-8.0.

@Nfldcoffee this is the cleanest 993 I’ve ever had the joy of encountering. Car drives like a dream. No unusual rattles. Everything is nice and tight. Clutch is great. Brakes are awesome. I have sent in a driving video to be uploaded. Everything is as it should be. Really super car.

@donzi123 go on the Ruf website and you can see what the enhancements are. No engine mods. Just bolt ons. Rare stuff built specifically for Porsche.
What makes this car a RUF? A steering wheel and four generic RUF wheels? Any engine enhancements?

@kjkaley unfortunately I do not have the original parts. I have a set of 996 hollow spoke turbo twist wheels, 997s steering wheel and guards red rear deck lid from a 997s! No rust on the car. It’s mostly been a garage queen.

Great looking car. I see you have the original head unit. Do you happen to have the other original parts - steering wheel, wheels and the rear deck lid?
Since this car has spent a lot of time in NY I have to ask - any issues with rust?

@Moonshot I have not. The car has no evidence of any repaints. Definitely looks all original. The clear fender guards show age consistency of the vehicle. All rubber moldings etc show no signs of paint. Feel and touch show no signs. All stickers on the car are original with no evidence of any paint. It was acquired from a really nice collection. I will try and borrow one for reassurance. I’m located in Tampa Fl if anyone would like to come inspect the car in person. Will not disappoint.
