We are delighted to present for for auction this 1998 BMW E36/7 Z3 2.8 Roadster. Like the Z3 driven by James Bond in the 1995 film Goldeneye, this example is finished in the combination of Atlanta Blue over a tan leather interior with a tan convertible top. Echoing the classic design of BMW’s 507, the Z3 is the first BMW to be built from inception solely in the U.S. Sold new at Rallye Motors in Roslyn, NY and having been in the hands of just 1-owner from new, this Z3 Roadster is now being offered by its seller in New York with approximately 48,500 miles showing on the odometer.
The stellar Atlanta Blue paint is said to be in good overall condition. The drivers side door exhibits dents surrounding the door handle (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery)- the seller suggests a paintless dent remover could remedy this. The Z3 Roadster is distinguished by its fender-mounted louvers. It rides on factory 16" 5-spoke wheels with Goodyear Eagle Sport tires.
Inside, this Z3 features a tan leather interior with wood grain trim. The tan leather interior is said to be in excellent condition, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Factory equipment includes air conditioning, power seats, power windows, wood grain interior trim and a trunk-mounted CD changer. The original radio has been retained and the seller indicates all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
Roadster models entered production in 1995, powered by both 4 and 6-cylinder engine. This 2.8L inline M52 6-cylinder engine sends 189 HP and 203 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a Getrag 250 5-speed manual transaxle. An invoice dated January 2021 reflects a replaced thermostat, radiator, water pump and filters.

@Jimstew911 so I had an issue with heat not being as it should and turned out to be a clogged radiator. Car has been perfect since with no other issues. Mechanic was impressed with how clean car was in and around motor. Interesting what similar z3 on other inferior auction sites are doing price wise with 4cyl. And automatic.

Beautiful car and perfect color combo . If I didn't recently purchase a vehicle I'd be interested. I searched for a while for one with low miles and couldn't find one under 80k esp one with only 2 owners.
@msa615 no mechanical issues. Everything is original and works. Just had car serviced and looked over for a trouble free summer car. The invoice on pics shows work completed.
Any mechanical issues now that need to be addressed
