Available for auction is this 1998 Dodge Viper GTS SR II finished in Viper Red over a Black leather interior. This 1998 example was acquired by the seller in 2021 from its previous owner who commissioned extensive modifications to the engine and transmission. The engine was supercharged and recently rebuilt using top-quality forged parts for an astonishing 1,250 HP output at the rear wheels. Other notable upgrades include a fully custom-built 6-speed transmission and 18” forged wheels. This remarkable Viper is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota while showing just under 30k miles on its odometer.
This GTS comes finished in Viper Red and features a distinctive “double bubble” roof to accommodate helmeted passengers. The seller notes a few small rock chips at the front end, hood, and around the rear wheel arches. A paint correction is said to have been carried out recently followed by an application of ceramic coating. This Viper rides on a set of black finished 18” Rennan Forged custom wheels dressed in Toyo R888R tires from 2018.
At launch, the GTS was the first Viper to be equipped with airbags and to include air conditioning, power windows and power door locks standard. The Black leather interior of the example is said to remain in very good condition apart from a hole in the center console where switches were once mounted. Accessories include a Sony head unit and an A-pillar mounted gauge pod reading supercharger boost pressure and air/fuel ratio.
Power comes from a custom-built V10 engine equipped with a Procharger F1X supercharger. Its initial build at JMB Performance and Powdercoat of Hillsboro, Missouri in 2019 included CNC ported cylinder heads and intake manifold, a polished and balanced crankshaft, ARP head studs, Callies rods, ID1300 fuel injectors, a custom E85 rated fuel system, twin throttle bodies, catch can setup, and cams, and much more. The engine was rebuilt again by Nth Moto utilizing most of the forged internals from its previous build, and was re-tuned to the tune of 1,250 HP. A detailed breakdown of all the work done by JMB Performance and Powdercoat can be found in the gallery along with dynamometer readings. The rear wheels are driven by way of a custom-built 6-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include upgraded brakes with a rear drag brake kit, and polyurethane engine and transmission mounts. The engine rebuild was completed approximately 1k miles ago and an oil change will be due soon.

Just found it. It’s a Spec Stage 3+ clutch with aluminum flywheel.

hchris: thank you! While I didn’t do those times, the owner of Nth Moto did and he’s a fantastic driver. The car is strong no doubt.
@Hangar7: it’s a Tranzilla built trans with a Spec clutch from Nth. It should have been in the receipts from Nth but I now see those were not loaded. I have them on my office computer so I will load those on here on Monday. The trans is stock gearing I believe. It is rated to 1500whp easily, I believe the limits being 2000whp. It shifts butter smooth with zero issues given it being built.
