Now up for auction is this pristine 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera Cabriolet finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a Classic Grey partial leather interior. Showing only 15k miles on the odometer, this 6-speed 1998 example is reported to be in exemplary overall condition while remaining under the care of its second owner in Encinitas, California. Marking the final generation of the air-cooled 911, this beautifully preserved 993 makes an excellent choice for any discerning Porsche collector.
The Ocean Blue Metallic finish on this 993 is reported to be in exceptional condition along with the blue Cabriolet top (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). The seller notes that this Carrera has always been garage kept and covered with no more than 1k miles driven per year under their ownership. Visual features include a “basket handle” rear spoiler and factory 5-spoke twist wheels which come dressed in Michelin tires.
The Classic Grey partial leather interior is said to be in excellent shape while retaining all of its original factory specifications. Some minor wear is noted on the driver’s seat and the seller reports that the passenger window control switch was recently replaced. The original radio remains fully functional along with all other gauges and accessories.
Representing one of the final air-cooled 911’s ever made, this 1998 example carries a 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine which is rated at 282 HP stock. The rear wheels are driven via 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of as little as 5.4 seconds. All routine service is said to be up to date and the seller confirms this 993 to be mechanically stock and in very nice driving condition.

There does not look like there are any photos with the top boot attached. I assume it is in photo 41, with perhaps 2? Black and a blue.

@chuckbucher. Beautiful car. A few soft top questions. Can you confirm the electric top works as designed? Do you have the rear windscreen that installs behind the front seats? In pictures 22 and 23 is appears there is a small imperfection in the top, perhaps from rubbing some place. Can you qualify how serious this is in the integrity of the top? TIA and GLWA!
