This Carrera S is finished in Glacier White and is said to be in great condition. It sports the wide bodywork of the contemporary 911 Turbo along with a unique split-grille rear decklid specific to the Carrera S model. The factory 17” Light Alloy Wheels come dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires from 2019. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The engine is rated at 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft of torque and reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 5.3 seconds. Standard performance features include a dual exhaust system, multi-link LSA rear suspension, and fixed four-piston brake calipers paired with front and rear vented rotors. The original owner of this 993 sold it to a friend, who has owned it for the past 17 years. The seller states they have performed all of the services under their ownership.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manual, window sticker, toolkit, spare tire, air pump, car cover, batter charger, sales brochure/literature, some documentation, and three sets of keys.

Great low mile last year aircooled widebody S2. Not sure what ALL the chatter is about. Seems a set of reconditioned 18" Turbo Twists solves any issues regardless if on COA?
My opinion is that a buyer cant pay too much for this White 98 993 S2 with these miles. Add the "Twists" and be a proud owner for sure!! Go Find One!! GLWS

Beautiful car very well maintain .. This auction site is going to the same direction BaT it is where people only go there to try to destroy a sale..( and Never Bid ) Hope the organizers will block and delete such comments that are not constructive but will destroy a clean deal. IMO auction sites should be only for biding and 5 word questions ..If you are a real buyer you can always hire a PPI over the phone and get the report ..(If you have the money off course) Ban them out and keep PCar the real on line Auction..

@gclaym It does only have a few Factory Options, but it has the two best ones, Factory Hard Back Sport Seats #373/374 these alone bring as much as $10 K. Very nice car. GLWTA

Would the person that inspected the car be able to comment on his findings ?

  • 1985CCX (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

Wasn't the idea for the "S" to be low optioned, light and rear wheel drive?
Think a heavily optioned car may seem better served as a Mecan, LOL.

This looks like a great car, best on the sale.

@Luft78 this car has all original paint and looks almost new although 24 years old. No panels have been painted. A tiny spot around the rear window is all. This car is in exceptional condition exterior, interior, underneath, and the drivetrain. This car has the popular “Sport Seats”, sunroof, CD stereo, air, stick shift, all the extras you need. This car was never on the market until July and now it’s August, not a long time to sell such a gem at these prices. I’m sorry if prices have upset anyone, and to cheer you up I sold a cherry 356 for 4K once. Good luck bidding.

@gjb222 recently added some undercarriage fotos and a statement from Porsche of the engine number and a foto of the engine #. It seems that pilot holes are drilled surrounding where the number is stamped probably to dissipate the lateral force, those Germans think of everything.

@Klaney if you have a 98 C2S as described for 135K you should buy it. This C2S will sell for more (because I will pay more) even though it has the least amount of factory options I've ever seen - basically none. Good luck

  • gjb222 (seller) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@Klaney in an auction my job is to provide information and answer questions, your job is to bid an amount you deem is the value that puts you behind the steering wheel of the last year of air cooled engine cars, the most limited production C2S, good luck

I recall the previous sales effort...followed it; I was surprised it didn't meet reserve. Beautiful car. Market is no better today then it was then...

Owning it (still) is a wonderful consolation prize...

    @dunit Solid.

  • dunit (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@gjb222 By no means trying to stir the pot. Just interesting observations. That said what is funny is the assumption that because Im new to this site that my knowledge could somehow be questioned. Ive owned just about every version of a 993 created. From a 97 narrow body in pastel yellow to multiple white c2s and c4s cars to a 98 vesuvio metallic c4s. Ironically you may have seen me driving around if you lived in sc from 05-09. Anyway my educated snapshot at the value of your car comes from experience. Saw it posted for $212k. Respectfully not worth that dollar. Best of luck. I would be a buyer somewhere around $150k. Let me know if it doesn't hit the reserve.

  • gjb222 (seller) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@dunit funny that someone can come out of the woodwork, newly registered, and his comment of doubting the reserve of 185 gets extrapolated to imply something negative. What power people have with their keyboard, I miss the days of tire kickers, they called on a car of interest, checked it out and possible bought. The guy who looked at the car, put a bid of 125 and then disappeared, not real attributes of an actual buyer. Bid to win, you just may be surprised!!

  • dunit (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@Fordgt Same car. Interesting how when you put a car on a site like Pcar or BAT that the history is now set in stone. It didn't hit the reserve at $167k. There was a ton of banter about someone that saw the car in person and it didn't live up to expectation. Im curious how much of the potential audience is the same. A case study in car marketing. Non the less it appears to be a stellar car. I feel like that $160k range is spot on. Will be fun to watch...

  • Fordgt (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

Seller, is this the same car that was on BaT last month? Thanks in advance for your reply.

  • gjb222 (seller) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@Fordgt on the prescribed maintenance of a Porsche with 28K miles per the MAINTENANCE booklet that came with the car is an oil change (not filter) at 15K mi and oil and filter change at 30K mi (coming up). We in affluent America are in to overkill, this car has had the oil and filter changed six times. Also coming up at 30K miles, per booklet, is a replacement of the spark plugs and air filter. At 15K miles this was done by me, and also the rotor caps and rotor and the fuel filter. I have receipts for parts with dates of purchase but not a formal log ( one could extrapolate the approximate miles using the biennial smog miles from the Carfax report ). To get into the head of where I stand with Porsches, when I retire in a few years I plan to rebuilt a Porsche engine. It can't be this car because this car is "AS NEW'.

  • gjb222 (seller) 1 year, 8 monthsago

@jfcl911 the only paintwork on the car is about two square inches around the corners of the rear window, I hear is not uncommon. Recently it was polished and ceramic coating applied, looks great.

  • jfcl911 (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago

Has the car had any paintwork- pp?-I did see the meter readings. Thanks

  • Chimed23 (registered bidder) 1 year, 8 monthsago
