Available for auction is this 1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello finished in Blu Pozzi, a rare paint option named in honor of the French Ferrari importer, Charles Pozzi. This timeless grand tourer was unveiled in July of 1997 at the Nürburgring Racing Circuit, featuring a naturally aspirated V12 paired with a gated 6-speed manual transaxle. This example equips a limited-slip differential, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, fog lights, and power-adjustable Daytona-style seats in a Saddle Brown and Blue leather interior. Cared for by its original owner and secondly by their family member, this 550 Maranello is now being offered for auction out of Florida with just over 7k miles on the odometer.

With body lines executed by Pininfarina and a rare Blu Pozzi finish, this Berlinetta showcases twin exhaust air slots in the front wings accompanied by “Designo Pininfarina” designations. The body is composed of lightweight aluminum alloy welded to a steel frame. The traditional 5-spoke “star” design 18” alloy staggered-width wheels wear a set of Pirelli P-Zero tires, paired with Ferrari-designated brake calipers painted in black. The seller notes that the exterior has been fully ceramic coated, and a minor imperfection is present on the driver’s side pillar. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior is appointed with Saddle Brown and Blue leather including electronically adjustable Daytona-style seats and a large luggage platform behind. The cabin features automatic climate control, a CD stereo, and a gated manual shifter. The seller notes only minor signs of wear are present.

The 550 Maranello carries a 5.5-liter V12 engine providing up to 485 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, reaching a top speed of 199 MPH. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel-ventilated disc brakes, along with a four-channel ABS anti-skid braking system, integrated with the ASR drive control system. The seller states that various services have been performed between 6-7k miles in the past 3 years. In December of 2020, a major service of approximately $17k was performed. In June of 2021, maintenance was performed to the compressor and generator, while new airflow mass sensors and a new battery were installed- costing a total of approximately $8k. In May of 2022, coolant and oil services were completed, along with services to the thermostat and cooling pipes, and a new oil filter installation- totaling approximately $7k. The car has been maintained primarily at The Collection, an authorized Ferrari dealer where it was originally purchased.

This sale will include a clean title, 2 Keys, 3 Remotes, 2 Vin metal tags for spare keys, Ferrari Leather pouch, all owners manuals, full vehicle service history and a copy of the window sticker.

The complete service file of the vehicle will be available to be viewed the last hour of the auction. The file has been submitted to the auction.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Albertnigri I understand, the records that have actually be on display since the beginning were the most recent major services done to the vehicle. Should you have any other questions on any of the service to further discuss please let us know. Happy to get on a call anytime.

  • DoveMtnMotors 1 year, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $134,000

  • Albertnigri (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@ASGMiami yes, you did provide the records but I feel like major service should be in the body of the listing, I am not a very technical guy and most of the technical terms in the records are foreign to me as far as how major it is. On other listings you'll see the major service noted so a guy like me knows it's major, I'm not sure if the lack of information is coming from you or from P car market, either way it's a beautiful car and I wish you luck with the sale but I think I am out . Thank you

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Albertnigri Not sure why you are stating this as you messaged us directly and were provided the entire service history file.

Any questions anyone has on any part of the service history log we are happy to elaborate on and provide additional information on.

  • Albertnigri (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@GT-2 seems no real important service history is being provided by the seller unless you ask which does not leave me with a good feeling. Thank you

  • GT-2 1 year, 5 monthsago

I guess this is lesson that these cars must be driven regularly. Cylinder heads were “warped” and engine was pinging due to overheating and needed new valve guides and machining? Holy cow this poor engine had more spent on it in 7k miles than my 23k example its entire lifetime.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@GT-2 Absolutely, that invoice has been added to the auction for your viewing. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

The recap of records shows “cylinder head service”, can you please show the records that show what was done?

  • FuelFiles 1 year, 5 monthsago

Having shot the car, we were astonished at how clean and well presented this vehicle truly is. Whoever is getting this car is getting an incredible 550!

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Last day of the auction. Please contact us with any last-minute questions or to schedule a pre purchase inspection. Good luck!

  • DoveMtnMotors 1 year, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $125,000

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Bbaravarian There is no PPI that we can share, any interested party would need to have a ppi done individually.

Let us know if you would like to have the vehicle inspected.

The last picture in the gallery should show the minor pillar imperfection. It isn't big in any way and is not on the seal or close to the seal which would be of concern with water possible getting under the seal.

  • Bbaravarian (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Do you have a PPI that was done that I missed? Also the a pillar damage is next to the window? What picture numbers show the damage please.

  • SIRAMED (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    Final iteration and best version.
I always see the 275GTB styling hints as gorgeous and classic on this car

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@AiDesign Absolutely we welcome all inspections. Please give us a call or reach out to us by the contact seller feature to further discuss.

  • AiDesign (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Would really like to do a PPI, are you available today, Thursday?

  • RS777 1 year, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $115,000

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Cytoboy Dead battery which resulted in the car being towed into the dealer.

In regard to the A pillar imperfections, we are just as puzzled as you are on how that could have happened. We wouldn't be able to accurately tell you how that occurred in that area. But it is the only area on the entire vehicle that is affected.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@RS777 That is correct, the vehicle has zero paint work.

  • Cytoboy (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@ASGMiami - I am amazed by how thorough and extensive the CarFax documentation appears.

In both April and June 2012, I see that the vehicle was towed due to ‘mechanical failure’. Perhaps there is no explanation, but wondered if the owner communicated this information(?)

I appreciate the A-pillar close up - do you know what the mechanism of injury was and when it occurred? Please confirm that there is no issue with windshield seal function if this is known.

Have a great day, and thanks in advance for attending to these very minor and more curious questions.

  • RS777 (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Noted the paint meter readings. Just confirming no paint work ever on the car

  • DoveMtnMotors 1 year, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $105,000

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Cytoboy Tire Date Code 2018. Tire life I would say is 90%.

Vehicle still retains both OEM Cats so there will be no issue with any emissions testing in any sate.

Recent services that will show in the Service log when added by the auction:

December Major Service $17K @6,700 Miles
May 2022 $7k (Thermostat, Cooling Pipes, Coolant Service, Oil Service, New Oil Filter) @ 6909 Miles

In total in physical receipts that we have on the car, is around $68k spent on the car.

Vehicle has been serviced extremely well through the year. It is not in need of any service at this time. Ready to be enjoyed and driven!

  • Cytoboy (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@ASGMiami - Thanks for being attentive to the many questions that appear in this forum. I may have missed answers to the following queries, but I sure appreciate your help:

    1. Tire date codes?

    2. I see “Catalyst” equipped - any reason to believe that one would have a problem in my home state of California?

    3. MUCH service of late - but any particular items that still need attention for serviceability?

    Appreciate your time.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Albertnigri I have messaged the auction to see what is going on, this will be corrected shortly.

In the meantime please click contact seller and we would be happy to share the link to its service file.

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@jhyldahl9441 Both seat covers and steering wheel cover. The Car cover is missing, which I believe they kept for one of the other Ferraris they have.

An accessories picture has been submitted to the auction earlier today. Should be uploaded shortly.

  • Albertnigri (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

To clarify “Tubi Style” is name of company that broke off from main Ferrari exhaust and oil/fuel tank supplier to make racing and aftermarket exhaust systems for higher end sports cars. Many just call it “tubi” for short. To be quite honest, 550’s desperately need aftermarket exhaust as they are FAR too quiet from factory.

  • PCARMARKET_MODERATOR 1 year, 5 monthsago

The listing description has been corrected, no aftermarket exhaust system is installed.

  • Third_Pedal (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@SIRAMED relax Mr Ripley, he wasn’t claiming anything. He asked a valid question based on the verbiage in the listing. I’m not sure how a visit to Tubi would answer the question, either. And it still isn’t clear to me as the system appears to be stock in the photos, and no receipt for a Tubi system was provided. Despite your vehement assertion otherwise, the seller’s claim that it is original and not aftermarket leads me to believe that the “Tubi-style” statement in the listing is, in fact, inaccurate.

$5000 15 years ago ... and now costing $12k is Normal inflation.
Bottom line; This car comes with an expensive exhaust - already done.

Please do a 20 sec Google search before you claim Tubi Style is not authentic or perhaps just visit them or your next trip to Maranello, just down the strada from Zanassi at 16 Piero Taruffi, Maranello (MO)

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@Albertnigri To confirm this is an original Ferrari Exhaust. This is not a replica or aftermarket unit.

  • Albertnigri (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@SIRAMED A Tubi branded exhaust sold by Ferrari is $5000 or at least it was about 15 years ago.Tubi style leads me to believe that it's a brand that is imitating the brand Tubi

  • SIRAMED (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    TubiStyle means $12,000.00 in stainless

  • Albertnigri (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Are car cover, seat covers, and steering wheel cover included as original factory supplied items?

  • treffendriver (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Thanks for responses and I look forward to additional items added on Monday and remaining service history

  • ASGMiami (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@treffendriver the imperfection pictures will be added on Monday.

For the interior the main imperfection of the dash is the section on the passenger side for the airbag that has slight sag but is 100% original factory leather.

The hand-break handle shows some typical wear from use.

The reclining button for the drivers seat unfortunately came off and is missing in the pictures but a new button will be included in the sale of the vehicle before it’s shipped out to its new owner. (Control panel was already ordered at Ferrari)

If you would like to see anything specific or schedule a video call this week please let us know.

Welcome and good luck. This is a true 1 owner vehicle that is fully documented since day 1. Zero modifications and with service up to date. Please contact us with any additional questions or to schedule an appointment to inspect the vehicle.

  • treffendriver (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

So many questions? I maybe I’m missing it but I only see service invoices from Dec 20? Did no other services happen in 21 years until the major again last year that I don’t see invoices for? If so any records? Also I see “minor” defect on A pillar but dash seems like lots needing addressing? Top section above gauge cluster appears to be separating, defrost vents strip appears to need to be redone and leather separating in multiple areas. None of this is uncommon but it’s not really pointed out in listing other than A pillar imperfections?

  • Cytoboy (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago
