Up for auction is this 1999 911 C2 Coupe. With an incredible blend of both street and race features, this Carrera offers an ideal driving experience for the true enthusiast. It was only 5k miles ago that the owner of Formula Motorsports of Long Island City, NY decided to exercise their skills and build the incredible street/track car you see today. Before this, it was used strictly as a weekend cruiser. The car has been completely pampered and used primarily as a DE car and for some PCA club events. It is now being offered with 55k miles on the odometer and in complete race-ready condition out of a climate-controlled facility in New York. This accident free car is said have had fresh water flood damage in the past, which led the current owner to purchase the vehicle at a lower cost. He then decided to invest over $100k into creating this incredible racer.
Cosmetically, this 911 is stated to be in immaculate condition. The seller notes that the vehicle has always been well maintained and recently received a professional respray after being stripped to the chassis. The black paint is wrapped in Xpel paint protection film with an additional layer of ceramic coating, ensuring a spectacular finish for years to come. Adding to the look of this car is a dual pipe exhaust system, fog lights, and carbon fiber mirrors.
Inside, you will find all of the essentials needed for the track, while still providing everyday drivability. This example features a pristine full black leather interior, cruise control, air conditioning, and carbon fiber trim covering the shifter, steering wheel, and center console. Accordingly, this 911 is equipped with factory Recaro racing seats, Scrotch multi-point race belts, Porsche TechEquipment harness bar, and an adjustable accelerator.
The car comes equipped with a fully custom braking and suspension system. This 911 is wearing a set of 18” Carrera wheels with Hoosier tires (an additional set of wheels will be included in the sale). Braking and suspension features include:

Having been built by a renowned race shop, this car is equipped with high quality performance parts. It starts with a completely reworked and larger 3.6L flat-six engine that features new P’s and C’s, Porsche OEM crank, engine mounts, Champion headers, clutch cables, LN bearing, Turbo mufflers, 3 radiators, and new condensers. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a custom 6-speed manual transmission that is equipped with shorter gear ratios. The engine is said to be in excellent running condition with only 2k miles added since the rebuild.

@Pelicanlead-23 I think the whole point is to give people enough time to re-enter if they get out-bid. It would be nearly impossible for multiple people to try and click "Bid" at the last second!
I believe the standard process is each bid resets the clock to the last two minutes that way the one who wants to pay the most gets to. It is not an exercise in who is the best mouse clicker. Honestly I got distracted by an email and missed the last window. Oh well.

@Pelicanlead-23 You asked a direct question about the car being registered. The paper title does NOT say salvage. However, when you run a carfax on the car per this listing it says salvage title issued. Not sure why the NYS title I have does not say salvage but I am guessing that is a good thing. All claims are made in good faith. This is the only information we have as well as the current paper title from NYS without mention of salvage. email michael@formulamotorsports.com and I can send a picture of the title.
@formulamotorsports So... you guarantee to car can be legally titled without any salvage reference. Are all claims made by the seller confirmed as accurate?
@Pelicanlead-23 The title itself does not show salvage however via carfax it says it is. And yes it has been and can continue to be registered as a streetcar. The car also passes ALL emissions control parameters for all 50 states. It has been continuously registered as a streetcar since new as it only sees 500 miles or so a year of use.
What kind of title will the car come with? Salvage? Can it be licensed for street use? thx

@2mAn it has new cats from Fabspeed, Champion Motorsport headers, new Porsche O2 sensors, and Tubi exhaust. As far as HP figure the 3.6 puts out 50 more in Titian with all the goodies but it was never on a dyno so... the car was also never driven hard and had the IMS from LN as well as the 2 quart deep sump. Not possible to build a more expensive or relatable 3.6 NA for this 996. Does not leak a drip of oil either. Motor mounts were also changed a couple months ago just to complete the overall theme of changing everything. The motor rebuild had new P’s and C’s from JE, Porsche crank and cams, corillo rods, water pump, alternator, etc. When we say everything on the car it is a literal statement. The Giro Discs floating rotors, Porsche brake calipers, and Pagid pads are all new too. Less than 10 miles.

A few questions for seller. Is the exhaust completely free-flow ie no cats at all? How loud is it, and are any of the original exhaust pieces still around (at least the cats)?
Any idea what the 3.6 motor might be producing now?

@jimmy_is_here no not a complete flood just carpet and alarm box. No pictures to share as the pictures provided give an accurate representation of the overall condition.
@formulamotorsports was it in an actual flood? Did you buy it like that for the purpose of converting to a track car? Can you share why you’re selling? Any pictures of the restoration work?
The factory carpet and alarm box required replacement. The drains next to battery we’re clogged which is a typical failure of 997/997 when not properly cared for. However, this car underwent a complete restoration for the purpose of performance by Formula Motorsports
