Up for auction is this 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet finished in black over a black interior. Marking the first generation of the water-cooled 911, the 996 was launched in 1999 featuring a brand-new platform developed completely from the ground up. This 1999 6-speed Cabriolet has undergone some noteworthy recent maintenance including a new rear main seal, a new clutch and an IMS bearing service which was completed within the last 100 miles. Highlighting an upgraded exhaust system and genuine Porsche SportDesign wheels, this Cabriolet is now being offered for auction showing approximately 133k miles on the odometer.
The black finish is stated to be in good overall condition with some minor chips and roadgoing wear, a collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery. A new black cabriolet top has been fitted along with aftermarket LED taillights. This Carrera has also been fitted with genuine Porsche SportDesign wheels which are finished in black and currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The rear tires were replaced last year, and the seller confirms that the original taillights will be included in sale along with the original hardtop.
This Carrera is appointed with a black leather interior which is stated to be in good overall shape with all gauges, electrical components and accessories remaining fully functional. An upgraded Alpine radio has been installed which features USB compatibility and a satellite radio receiver. Factory options include a shift knob and brake handle in carbon fiber, power operated seats with driver memory, heated front seats and aluminum doorsill guards.
This 996 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.4 L flat-six engine which sends 296 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. An upgraded aftermarket exhaust system has been installed providing for increased flow and sound. Noteworthy recent service items include a new rear main seal, fluid and filter changes, a new clutch and throw-out bearing, and a new slave cylinder. With a critical IMS bearing service stated to have been carried out within the last 100 miles, this Carrera is said to be in excellent running order.
The sale of the 996 will include a set of two keys, original books, a removable hardtop, car cover, original exhaust mufflers and service records. If you are in the market for a Porsche 996, this well-maintained and tastefully modified Cabriolet makes an excellent choice.

@matte911 I don’t have radio or wheels. And run and drive video now is almost impossible as I am not at home and will not be for hours I will see if I have a pic of top on car but again I am not at home

@Iamonewiththeworld I have not taken the car threw a car wash but have washed it repeatedly and got caught in rain with no leaks found
