Representing Porsche’s original mid-engine Boxster sports car, this 1999 example comes finished in Black over a black leather interior and features a 5-speed manual transmission. @shak0000 i think the mechanism has an issue, it’s very simple to open the top manually I lift that cover in the back and tuck the convertible in. Service I have done the oil change not long ago and replaced a window regulator the car starts up always like a champ I had 0 issues with it. Drives amazing super fun car!
What is the issue with powered top? How do you manually open and close it?
What services have been performed during last four years of ownership? Has the clutch been replaced?

@Razor1964 Great question, the infamous IMS issue on these cars is definitely out there, I am not very familiar with what years had the issues. It did cross my mind the question of would I have this issue, however the car never shown any signs or anything abnormal.
It might be changed or I just might be a lucky one that the issue doesn’t exist on it.
@Wmcnair what can you say about ims replacement? Does 1999 models needs the bearing replacement or is it for 2000 to 2005 models? Let me know
