This 1999 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 will be sold at NO RESERVE.  This Black on Black example has had two previous owners and is currently showing 88,679 miles on the odometer.  The 3.4L flat six engine produces 296hp and is connected to a 5-speed automatic/Tiptronic transmission.

The car presents itself very well both mechanically and physically.  The engine pulls nicely and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly.  The car retains all its original body panels, however, the drivers side of the car has been painted.  The seller states that rock chips are present on the hood and front bumper.  The photo gallery will also show a bit of paint cracking on the front bumper.

The previous owner added some custom touches to the 996, which include: LED smoked taillights, aero spoiler, clear side markers, tinted windows, and an “S” badge.  A set of OEM 18” 997.2 wheels have been added to the car, creating a very sporty and higher-end look.

The interior of this vehicle is in excellent condition with minimal wear. The photo gallery will show that the supple leather is in above average condition with some wear on drivers side bolster. The dashboard is in like-new condition as are all buttons, switches, and gauges.  Electronic features such as power windows, doors, seats, mirrors, moonroof and CD/Radio all work as they should.

The car will include receipts showing almost $30K in work that had been performed under previous ownership.  It is important to note that the IMS bearing service has been completed.

The car is being sold as is.  The winning bidder will receive a clean Carfax, 2 keys, and service records.

hi I have asked pcar to upload a cold start video that i just did, no warning lights. also adding a photo with the wing up and down, working perfectly!

  • Wassergekuhlt (registered bidder) 5 yearsago

@robot808 before I placed a bid I too noticed the lights on the dash in the video. Upon reviewing the video a few times you can see that it’s the seatbelt warning lamp (driver in video isn’t belted, shame shame) and it’s the same lamp from two perspectives but with different saturation.
I only share this because I’m now over budget to bid and hope someone gets a killer deal here.

  • robot808 (registered bidder) 5 yearsago

In the driving video there seems to be a couple of MIL's lit up in the dash. Which lights?

  • 11JM (seller) 5 yearsago

@Greejeff Hi. the original 17" wheels are no longer with the car. Installed is an OEM set of Porcsche 997.2 Carrera 18" wheels which I feel is a nice upgrade, hope you agree. Thanks.

@oncamera250 I don't understand why the 996 is so affordable. its a freaking 911 and is only 20 years old. go another 5 years back and they are double in price. Magnus Walker once said he got his Porsches "when they were cheap". the next Magnus will have a fleet of these.

  • oncamera250 (registered bidder) 5 yearsago

I’ve driven a few of these. Such a great car. Undervalued for sure. My guess, they will be going up in value

@oneslyone @onealyone hi. The paintwork was not done under my ownership. I’m reporting my findings, paint meter reads between 6-8 on that side of the car. All bolts , welds and stickers are as they should be indicating no panels were removed or replaced. Also the paint measurements also indicate that it was probably minor cosmetics since there are not thick readings. Good luck bidding.

11JM, can you plese explain the details of the drivers side receiving a respray? You state it has all original panels, curious about the incident.

  • tmazzilli 5 yearsago

Doug demuro said in one of his videos that he thinks the 996 is the most beautiful 911 - I thought he was crazy at first and after a few months ive become pretty crazy about this model and honestly agree - the shape is the perfect harmony between classic and modern 911.
