Named after the town of Modena, Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace, the Ferrari 360 is most notable for its elegant body lines and dramatic styling cues including its transparent rear engine lid displaying a naturally aspirated V8. Originally built for the European market, this 2000 F1 example finished in Argento Nurburgring was imported to the U.S. and fitted with a 220-MPH speedometer and digital odometer that is now showing just over 19k miles. A California car since imported in 2002, this 360 Modena is now being offered for auction.

The Pininfarina-designed aluminum bodywork is finished in Argento Nurburgring. Equipment includes encapsulated bi-xenon headlights, side air intake scoops, aerodynamic door mirrors, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, black brake calipers with white Ferrari script, and quad exhaust tips. The factory silver 18” five-spoke wheels wear yellow Ferrari center caps and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The seller notes minor paint imperfections as depicted in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features sport seats trimmed in Nero leather which extends to the dashboard and door panels. Silver aluminum trim accents the center console, center stack, door panels, and instrument surround. Details include Cavallino-embroidered headrests, Ferrari door sill covers, drilled aluminum pedals, a drilled aluminum passenger footrest, and a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon fiber paddle shifters. Amenities include automatic climate control, full power accessories, a digital clock, and an Alpine stereo. The seller notes the trim bezels around the dashboard air vents have become sticky with age.

Mounted beneath a transparent polycarbonate lid, this 360 Modena is equipped with a naturally aspirated dry-sump 3.6-liter V8 engine rated at 400 HP.  The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed electrohydraulic-actuated F1 automatic transmission with a gearbox built by Graziano Trasmissioni and paired with a limited-slip differential. The seller notes this Ferrari was maintained as part of a private collection and there are no service records available.

This sale will include a clean title and a tool kit.

Welcome to the close of this no reserve Ferrari 360 auction. Thanks for all of the comments and questions and bids so far. As we wind down, here for any last minute questions. This is a no reserve auction so the last man standing gets it. This particular 360 has been a California car since import. The car is tight and makes it great noise. Really enjoy the 360, and this one doesn’t disappoint.

As a reminder to any new bidders: the clock will reset for 2 minutes for any bid made under the 2 minute mark. No need to prove how good or bad your WiFi is by waiting till the last seconds to bid only to find out it’s not that good.

    Happy bidding and good luck!

@chipper agreed. My 360 has been as reliable as a Honda its driven as its supposed to and then some. A treat compared to the engine out services too!

  • Chipper (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Happily surprised to see a 360 here and from a top tier power seller. Ive owned a 360 for a decade and they are very easy low maintenance cars that drive and sound glorious. Belts are an in car job in a day and usually cost me $2500. A far cry from my nightmare 355 days.

  • wob (seller) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@Tartan43 yes good catch, looks like a typo. To clarify: the car is in miles. It is 19k miles, not kms, perhaps @pcarmarket can correct. The kms were converted to miles at import and it imported when only a couple years old at approximately 13k miles. Since 2003 it has accrued about 6k miles additionally.

@AHudson777 all that is known about the car has been posted. Awesome 360, drives great, looks great and a load of fun. The car has been under private collection care in which it has only required basic service and been a nice occasional driver. I don't have history of any needed major service to discuss, only that the car appears and drives well and shows no signs of any immediate material needs. I highly encourage you and all bidders to schedule any PPI in which gives you comfort in bidding. Thats definitely a big part of the 7 days format. Certainly hear your questions and happy to answer them, just keep in mind I don't expect to have any new information as it pertains to requested service. I would suggest any bidder to a) schedule a PPI and b) go into the purchase understanding they may want to create a new folder of service records to build their own values.

Thanks for the comments guys. Keep in mind this is a no reserve 360, winner takes all!

Are there any importation records? Specifically, recorded mileage at time of federalization? Why would the odometer be reading in km on a US spec Speedometer?

  • PCARMARKET 1 year, 3 monthsago

A new video has been added to the listing page.

  • AHudson777 (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

@wob, my earlier questions are basically everyone's questions, which remain unanswered. We've established you have no records, so we can move on. Is the person, private mechanic, owner, caretaker, anyone who has been around the car able to relay any service history whatsoever?

The headers are visual, no records required, and costly enough to affect the sales price. The F1s eat clutches a little faster than stick cars and are a few thousand. Suspension bushing longevity is not these cars long suit and as one fails, they are all on a similar time clock.

You can either assume I'm being unnecessarily picky, or figure that your answers help your sales price and the Pcar prospects get a clearer pictured of what's actually for sale here. Best to you regardless.

@AHudson777 Here's a video. Although we don't have paperwork, this 360 drives great. It feels very tight, shifts great, sounds amazing. This thing is just begging to be pushed, very hard not to fully open it up. Walked away from the car after filming this with a huge smile on my face. Hard to beat a semi modern Ferarri. Also, happy to make the car available for a ppi or come check out the car if you can.

Though no formal records, have the services in fact been done? Timing belts (as this was the last belt-service V8), or stickies, or headers, actuators, or upgrades done to the gearbox? Really, anything would help get some idea of this car's history.

Welcome to this Ferrari 360 auction. These really are great cars to drive and by far one the prettiest of the modern Ferrari's. This was part of a collection and although there isn't a paper trail on service, appears to be mechanically sound. We are happy to make the car available for ppi's, just send a private message. This 360 was a California car its entire life since being imported in 2002. We will be posting a walk around and drive video soon. Keep in mind this is a no reserve auction so the last man standing goes home with this lovely Ferrari 360. Good luck!

This has to be my all time favorite Ferrari, too bad my wife would leave if I'd buy another car.

  • jbauto (registered bidder) 1 year, 3 monthsago

Another car with no paper trail. I too, do my own work, but I take pictures of all operations and save my receipts. And, I have all the receipts for both cars going back to Day 1. With these Ferraris, it's necessary to know what they need next based on what's been done before.
