All four wheels are driven through a four-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case and locking center differential. This LX470 also comes equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), which includes with multiple drive settings and Adjustable Height Control (AHC) allowing the driver to raise the vehicle for more ground clearance.  Images of the underbody are provided in the photo gallery.

@Slim_Chance I used to own triple locked 80 series truck for few years but for 100 series with V8 are much move powerful comfortable for the long rides and getting way better gas mileage. The 80 series always felt underpowered even with never 4.5L , this why you see many trucks with engine swaps. Both are rock solid and reliable.

@MendelGarage @MendelGarage: A friend just picked up a "Last of the Mohicans" all original paint, in-line 6 '97 with 250K on it. Amazing condition and ready for more! Thanks.

@Slim_Chance I forwarded a close up photos of driver's seat to Pcarmarket team , should be up shortly.

@911scout - thanks ! Bruce Mendel is a great seller and this looks like a great truck. So much more user friendly than G-wagens!

  • 911scout (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@phil_c Way to go for the knock out. You KO'd me for sure. Similar miles and condition 2016 LX470 sold on a competitors site a couple says ago for $14K. You just may end up owning this one! Good luck.

  • Slim_Chance 2 years, 10 monthsago

Driver side seat bolsters are almost NEVER photographed. Pretty sure I know what it looks like from owning multiple Toyota leather interiors including a Land Cruiser and would like to see the extent of what may need to be done.

  • phil_c (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Nope. That’s my initial bid. Why screw around?

Well that escalated. Wonder if it was supposed to be $7500.00, not $17500.00

The tires do rub a little on the full turn and can be exchanged to a smaller size upon buyer's request.

  • MendelGarage (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Bsharo Thank you for stopping by to look at the truck yesterday . I am replacing the windshield prior delivery to the new owner, and taking care of the A/C as well.

  • Bsharo (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    @MendelGarage Hi there,
I had a chance to stop by and see the car yesterday, it's a nice car, drove as would be expected for a 21 year old Lexus with 151K.
There are some issues: A/C was not cold (it was only 72F. outside).
The big tires rub in the wheel wells when you make a turn.
There are 2 spider cracks currently about 10” long on windshield on drivers side and a star crack on passenger side.
Drivers side mirror only goes side to side but not up and down.
Will these issues be addressed or are they the responsibility for the buyer of the vehicle?

  • Gherwilm (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Could you post pics in high and low suspension positions?

  • MendelGarage (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Bsharo Thank you for your interest , this truck has class III hitch and towing capacity of 6500 lbs

  • MendelGarage (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@911scout Here is the link with all the Photos for the truck. the 3rd row seats included along with floor mats for all 3 rows. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1k7W2Jg-hYcpWJAHEiFM_Shaj0_5w7vuD?usp=sharing . The steering wheel power tilting mechanism as wheel and air suspension works properly . The timing belt was replaced at 106.241miles in 2015.

@Bsharo Thank you for your interest in my Lexus. I am totally agree with you if the second owner drove 30k +/- per year for the period they owner/operated the car it would add an additional 108K , but we don't know if he actually did. If you are looking on the service records at Lexus dealership he probably did not. Apparently 3rd owner did nor drove the car and probably just purchased to resell . I purchased the vehicle from BMW dealer who got it on trade.

The mileage discrepancy issues are of some concern. Any clarification ??

  • 911scout (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@MendelGarage There are no pictures posted of the cargo area. Can you please post. Are the removable 3rd row seats included and picture of the condition of the seats? I notice there are no floormats, do you have them? Any records? Has this had a timing belt (sometimes sticker under hood on radiator support) and or water pump. They are needed about every 90K miles. Does the tilt and telescoping steering wheel still function in all capacities? Does the suspension still travel up and down by using the toggle switch next to the gear lever? I owned one of these for 14 years and have regretted selling it ever since. These are the common failures and just like to assess before bidding. Thanks!

  • Bsharo (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

The mileage on CARFAX for 2nd owner doesn’t compute, if hey drove 30k +/- per year for the period they owner/operated the car it would add an additional 108K to the 1st orders 109K which would put the mileage from the 1st/2nd owner at around 200017 miles (and there is no indication of mileage added by 3rd/current owner. Can you please clarify mileage discrepancy.

    Thank you

    Hello everyone!
I have a few cars coming up soon, a variety, but man oh man is this 2000 LX470 100-series the nicest of the bunch of SUVs I will be selling.
This is a REALLY nice LX470. Great color combo, and rare.
The exterior body and paint are smooth and glossy. All body panels and paint on the panels is original, with VIN# stickers and paint metered for verification. The bumpers have a few parking marks but come on, it’s got 151K miles.
The interior is similarly very very nice.. Leather seating surfaces, headliner, door panels, dash, console, carpets, all really nice and like-new comfy.
Electrically it’s 100%….HVAC is ice cold and heat is hot. Rear HVAC working properly. Nav/radio/HVAC head unit perfect. Windows, seats, moonroof, Mark Levinson. The steering wheel tilts and telescopes and always has, no codes any more.
.Glass is clear, wheels are nice, and this is an SUV you’d be proud to put in your garage.
What do you have to lose? BID NOW , running the auction at no reserve!
Seriously, this is a super nice LX470, ready to roll, well serviced since new, that I prepped so it needs nothing.
Hop in and drive wherever you want to go with your family and friends, and look awesome doing it.
Good luck and thanks for viewing!
