Marking the first C-Class generation, the Mercedes-Benz W202 replaced the 190 series with a design by Bruno Sacco, improved safety components, and more powerful engine options. Powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged inline-four engine, this 2000 C230 Kompressor comes finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over two-tone Orion Gray Nappa leather upholstery and features the Special Edition package. This example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with less than 74k miles showing on the odometer.
This C230 comes finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744U). As part of the Special Edition package, the Sport Package includes AMG-specific bumpers, side skirts, a coordinating rear spoiler, and 16” six-spoke alloy wheels. It also features a silver-finished front grille, integrated fog lights, monochromatic body moldings, a power-operated moonroof, and Sport Package 16” six-spoke alloy wheels which come wrapped in Saffiro Travel Max tires from 2021. The seller notes minor damage to the rear bumper, which caused a few scratches that the previous owner attempted to correct. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX.
Inside, the Special Edition offers two-tone Orion Gray Nappa leather (258A) upholstery complemented with carbon-look trim along the center console and door panels. The equipment includes a two-tone leather steering wheel, 10-way power-adjustable seats, a 60/40 split-folding rear bench, power windows, and logo-embossed stainless steel door sills. The seller mentions that the SRS light is illuminated, and while the windows open and close fully, the one-touch window feature is nonfunctional.
Power is derived from a 2.3-liter supercharged inline-four engine rated at 185 HP and 200 lb.-ft of torque stock. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed “touch-shift” automatic transmission. The CARFAX report shows seven service history entries and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
