Finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a Savanna Beige interior, this 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.4-liter flat-six engine. The car was purchased by the seller from a PCA member and benefits from over $22k in recent service including a new clutch kit, spark plugs, coil packs, cam seals, tires, and an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade. Showing under 58k miles on the odometer, this 996 is now being offered for auction out of New York.

This 996 is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic (L3AZ) with a Metropol Blue convertible top and 17” twist-spoke wheels. Other equipment includes a matching removable hardtop, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes the convertible top and rear window have been replaced and new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted last year. The car’s exterior is said to be in excellent overall condition given its age and mileage, and a small imperfection is present on the center of the convertible top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Carrera features a Savanna Beige partial leather interior with matching carpets and a four-spoke leather steering wheel. Accessories include power-adjustable front seats with driver position memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, a remote central locking system, a cabin wind deflector, a sound system, and an upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM+) head unit. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional, although the ashtray does not close and the hinge on the center console is faulty.

A naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine sends up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller states $22k worth of service has been completed within the last 6k miles including replacements of the clutch kit, cam seals, spark plugs, coil packs, air filters, fluids, and the installation of an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade.

This sale will include an owner’s manual, a toolkit, a spare tire, a removable hardtop, a cabin wind deflector, service records, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This an outstanding high-grade driver 996 Cabriolet that is sorted and ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker.”

@V8Mate - appreciate the positive comment.

All panels are original to the car and it has never endured an accident. With that being said, through the course of its life it’s very possible some things could be painted to maintain its appearance which is why we provided the meter readings to ensure a highly transparent listing.

  • V8Mate (registered bidder) 4 days, 1 hourago

Very nice presentation of this 996. Even with a "clean" carfax report, the paint meter readings certainly vary. Can you share which panels seem to have newer/thicker paint?

I commend your honesty, especially at the expense of a potential sale!
That is exactly the same conclusion that I came to and exactly why I have three distinctly different sports cars. It ain’t about the objects; it’s about different driving experiences.
    GLWTA!

  • PlaPan (seller) 6 days, 14 hoursago

    @WRENCH.56 - you are welcome.

I would keep your c4 and the boxster as those are great cars and offer a more diverse driving experience than just having one cabriolet.

  • WRENCH.56 (registered bidder) 6 days, 18 hoursago

    Thanks for the quick reply.
My dilemma is whether to sell my impeccable 996C4 and Boxster S to buy this one car that can effectively do it all.
    Tough choice!
I’m going silent until I make this decision, one that would be easy for me if this car were not so damn pretty.

  • PlaPan (seller) 6 days, 22 hoursago

@WRENCH.56 - Sale will be trough a dealer - has a FL dealer plate on it - currently not registered - located in NY - not affiliated with Pcar.

  • WRENCH.56 (registered bidder) 1 weekago

Whoever did the detailing on this car did an exceptional job!
5 owners in 57,000 mile. Where are the people who drive their cars?
I see titles all over the US, but nothing noted in FLA.. The seller is listed in Oyster Bay, but wears FLA plates. What’s up?
Does this car belong to someone on your staff?
Where is it presently located and in what state is it presently registered?

  • PlaPan (seller) 1 weekago

@WRENCH.56 - thank you for the compliment.

The hard top is present and included with the car.

Will try to get some pictures of it and post them.

  • WRENCH.56 (registered bidder) 1 weekago

    Beautiful example, beautiful color combo!
The listing description mentions a matching removable hard top. I see no pics of that.
Could you please include some pics of it on the car?
    Thank you
