Finished in Ocean Blue Metallic over a black interior, this 2000 Porsche 986 Boxster S came generously optioned with power-operated supple leather seats, a leather dashboard and door panels, exclusive aluminum trim pieces, 18” Turbo-Look wheels, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Recently serviced after being acquired by the current owner in November 2021, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction out of Washington with just over 48k miles showing on the odometer.
This 986 is finished in Ocean Blue Metallic with an optional painted roll bar, Litronic Bi-Xenon headlights, and 18” 993 Turbo-Look wheels. A retractable black soft top is equipped and a removable painted hardtop is included as well. Compared to a standard Boxster, the “S” version can be identified by red-painted brake calipers, grey front air intakes, silver rear lettering, and dual exhaust tips. New Continental Extreme Contact tires were newly installed in September 2022 and the seller notes some minor paint chips on the hood, lower front bumper, and removable hardtop. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior is appointed with optional supple leather upholstery on the seats as well as a leather-trimmed dashboard and door panels. Factory-exclusive aluminum inlays were also selected for the shift knob and handbrake lever. Other options include heated seats with adjustable lumbar support and driver memory, cruise control, a CD shelf, a storage compartment above the engine cover, headlamp washers, and a sound system. An upgraded touchscreen head unit has been installed and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional. Some signs of wear are noted on plastic trim pieces.
A mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 250 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. This Boxster S came with an optional Automatic Braking Differential (ABD) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) traction control. The lower control arms were replaced under current ownership along with the left rear axle, wheel hub, and bearing. A recent transmission fluid flush was performed as well. There is no confirmation of an IMS bearing replacement in the car’s service records.
This sale will include some documentation and a clean title.

Notes report that you are uncertain about an IMS replacement. Have you noticed even a drop of oil coming from the rear end of the car as it sits overnight in your garage
The Continental Extreme contact DWS tires are great in dry, wet, and snow, (the DWS in the name). I put these tires on specifically for year round driving in the pacific north west. I didn't and don't drive it at the track, so these are great tires and will definitely drive across country.
Do you think that the car could make a 1500 mile trip right away? Is the tread pattern all-weather or just for summer use?

As requested, I have added some underside pictures and the only service records that I have. I purchased the car 11/16/2021 and took care of the one issue after the new tires and alignment were completed. Otherwise, weekend drives with the top down in decent weather is all she has seen.

@Speedventure101 Thank you. Carfax is notably unreliable so it would be great if you could post the actual Repair Orders / Invoices. These will also show data that doesn't appear on Carfax, like whether OE or aftermarket parts were used.

@Quackbury I will work on the underside pictures and videos. As far as I know, all the items you mentioned, were dealt with in the normal Porsche maintenance checks that were done as shown in the carfax. I checked the brakes and there are 75% of the pads left, rotors are good. Other maintenance items are mentioned in the detailed ad. Thanks for asking.
Lovely Boxster and looks well cared for. It would be helpful to put the car on a lift and take some undercarriage photos; post videos of a cold start and the top in operation; post a DME (over-rev) report, a copy of the window sticker (these can be obtained inexpensively from vinanalytics.com), and copies of any maintenance and service records you may have. Folks will ask for those, so it's easier to get those early in the auction.
Specific questions I have include: Is this the original clutch? Original shifter cables? Have the RMS and air-oil separator been replaced? Brakes? Drive belt?
