Up for auction is this 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider finished in Rosso Corsa over tan leather.  With styling by Pininfarina, the 360 Spider was Ferrari’s flagship open-top sports car of the early 2000s and features a naturally aspirated V8 engine mounted directly behind the cabin.  This European-spec 2001 example was originally owned in Germany before being imported to the U.S. in 2002.  The car features an upgraded Tubi factory racing exhaust system, a Challenge-style rear grille, and desirable Daytona sport seats.  Highlighting a comprehensive amount of service completed within the last several months, this 360 Spider has been under the care of the same family since 2011 and is now being offered by its owner out of New York with approximately 39k miles showing on the odometer.

The Pininfarina-designed aluminum bodywork is finished in the traditional shade of Rosso Corsa.  A genuine Challenge-style rear grille was installed by the current owner and the five-spoke 18” alloy wheels have been custom powder coated in black.  A full paint correction has been recently carried out and general signs of age and road-going wear are present throughout the exterior. The convertible top also exhibits wear as depicted in the photo gallery. The front bumper was refinished earlier in 2021 to address cosmetic imperfections and the seller notes that genuine PPG Ferrari paint was used and custom matched to the rest of the exterior with a special UV camera. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  The factory wheels have been recently dressed in a set of new Hankook Ventus V12 tires.

The cabin is trimmed in classic tan leather and features factory adjustable Daytona sport seats.  All the standard aluminum trim in the car was replaced in favor of carbon fiber pieces including an MAcarbon center radio surround.  The convertible top mechanism was serviced by Ferrari Tampa Bay approximately three years ago with all new cables, actuators, motors, straps, and upgraded German seals.  All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly, although the A/C compressor is recommended for replacement.  A new OEM compressor will accompany the sale.

The Ferrari 360 is equipped with a mid-mounted 3.6L V8 engine featuring variable-length intake manifolds, a flat-plane crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, and an output of up to 400 HP and 275 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed F1 automated manual gearbox that allows for both automatic and manual gear changes using the shift paddles mounted on the steering column.  An upgraded Tubi factory racing exhaust system has been equipped for increased sound and performance. The clutch is said to have been replaced along with the brakes several years ago and major service has been carried out in recent months including all new ignition coils, belts, pulleys, tensioners, fluids, and filters.  A new OEM thermostat was also recently installed along with new upper and lower seals and a new OEM heat exchanger.  Extra coil packs are said to accompany the sale and the seller recommends an additional coolant flush to ensure the cleanest cooling system possible.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals, leather pouches, and a clean title.  An assortment of spare and original parts are also available from the seller as well as a set of custom three-piece wheels that will be offered separately.  A fully serviced and tastefully appointed driver-grade Ferrari, this 360 Spider is just waiting for a new owner to get behind the wheel and enjoy.

Top was down more than up it looks like. So is mine but it doesn't look like that. Good to see the mechanism still works. New top installed is probably 4 grand or so. I don't see any receipts for anything. Just hearsay stuff. Dealers pitch the receipts so they can take no responsibility. Just foolish to do that when it comes to these types of cars. GL
