Available for auction is this 2001 Mercedes-Benz W220 S55 AMG finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over a Grey leather interior. The fourth generation of Mercedes-Benz's flagship S-Class luxury sedan, the W220 offered smaller exterior dimensions and greater interior volume compared to its predecessor. The S55 AMG is a high-performance variant of the W220 S-Class, featuring a hand-built 5.4L V8 engine, Active Body Control suspension, larger brakes, and more aggressive styling. Backed by a long service history reported on CARFAX, this S55 is believed to have remained with the same owners for nearly two decades and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma showing just over 30k miles on the odometer.
This S55 comes finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic and features AMG-specific lower bodywork including a more aggressive front fascia and side skirts. Equipment includes Bi-Xenon headlamps with retractable washers, heat insulating glass, and 18” AMG aluminum alloy monoblock wheels. The cabin is trimmed in Grey leather with Burred Walnut accents on the dashboard, center console, and doors. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories remain fully functional, although the glovebox door will occasionally stick.
Power comes from an AMG-built M113 V8 engine producing up to 354 HP and 391 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed automatic transmission while handling is supported by Active Body Control (ABC) suspension. The CARFAX report shows 19 maintenance history records dating back as far as 2001, including the most recent service in April 2022.
This sale will include a clean title. The CARFAX report shows a potential mileage inconsistency that may have resulted from a clerical error, and the seller states the mileage shown on the odometer is accurate.

@Bazari12 Yes I ship about 60 vehicles per year throughout the US. I post the car on Central Dispatch and have it delivered to your door, the freight will be COD and the price will be set and approved by you prior to shipping. With fuel prices today the cost is about $1 per mile. My zip code is 74114 so you can google the distance to determine the cost. I do recommend that you insure the car upon payment in that I will no longer be the owner and it will sit in my warehouse until shipped but my insurance will not cover it. Depending on your location it could leave within 1 day or several days. Once picked up you will receive it within a few days depending on the distance.

@Artdeckco This is the first time this car has been advertised in my ownership. The mileage is actually quite good, better than I expected, I normally drive a E63 that gets 12 in town. This car gets about 15 in town and guess 19 on the highway at normal speeds. It cruises at 85 like a dream with a lot of room to run if needed.
@Bazari12 It is my understanding that the car was in a collection and obviously not driven much. The overall condition relative to the age is incredible, the leather is supple, not refinished, everything works as it should, exterior same. This is one of those cars that is like a time warp. The allows do show some curb rash, tires near new, 2 remotes, AC ice cold, etc. The glove box is stuck shut so do not know if books are in it or not. I do not embellish my descriptions but you wlll not find another 21 year old MB in this condition relative to age and mileage.
