Up for auction is this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior. Featuring a 3.4 L flat-six engine that sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2001 Carrera 4 is said to have spent its life in California up until being purchased by the current owner in Arizona earlier in 2020. This unique example showcases optional 18” 993 Turbo-look wheels, Bi-Xenon headlamps, and exclusive extended leather upholstery throughout the cabin. With an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade previously installed and a major service carried out within the last year, this 996 is now being offered for auction in fantastic running order while showing approximately 121k miles on the odometer.
The Polar Silver Metallic paint is said to be in very nice shape with minimal signs of road-going wear. A new OEM front bumper cover is said to have been painted and installed during the current ownership for cosmetic purposes. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. This example features GT3-style side rocker panels, Bi-Xenon headlamps, and optional 18” 993 Turbo-look wheels which are said to have been dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires within the last 5k miles.
Inside, this 996 is appointed with a black full leather interior featuring exclusive extended leather trim on the ignition surround, speaker covers, center console, sun visors, upper dashboard, and air vents. This example also features supple leather power-operated and heated seats with Porsche crested headrests, adjustable lumbar support, and position memory. The cabin is said to be in great condition with only minor wear on the driver's seat and steering wheel. An aftermarket touchscreen Pioneer head unit was installed by the current owner and all gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.
A naturally aspirated 3.4 L M96 flat-six engine sends 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. An LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade is said to have been carried out at 74k miles along with the replacements of the water pump and drive belt. In the last year since the seller’s purchase, the IMS has been resealed along with the installation of a new rear main seal (RMS), axle boots, a brake fluid flush, and oil service. Some service records are included, and the seller reports this Carrera to be in fantastic driving order.

@Dplin2001 Good evening, The IMS was done at 74k. It was checked and resealed in August of 2020. I'm sorry I do not have a photo of the serial number as it was originally installed by a previous owner.
So the IMS was done at about 74k and you did it again with in the past year, is that correct? Can you post a pick of the LN IMS sticker with serial number? Thanks

@WRENCH.56 Good afternoon, I originally bought this car with a project in mind. After I bought it and drove it home, a 700 mile trip, I learned what a really great car it is. The more I drove it, the more I thought I could not go forward with the other project. The car has too many options and drives far to nice to change it. This will not be the last Porsche I own.
Hello. This car appears to be in nice condition for its age and miles. I noticed that you purchased it less than a year ago and immediately invested in some major work on it, as did the prior owner.
If you don't mind my asking, why such a quick turnover? It seems to me that this car is ripe for some serious driving.

@jccaro Good afternoon, thank you for the questions. The paint does match, I believe it is the different angles of lighting. If you look at the seventh picture down in the left column you can see the light variation across the fender and bumper cover.
The original audio equipment is included in the auction. It is complete with the head unit and the CD deck.
Two questions: The front bumper cover paint looks slightly different in the photo... is this a function of the lighting or does the paint not match? And do you have the original audio unit?
