Based on the 996 platform, the Porsche 911 Turbo entered the new millennium for the 2001 model year featuring a twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans-winning 911 GT1 race car. This launch-year example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission, upgraded Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers, an EVO billet diverter valve, Europipe Stage 2 mufflers, and an aftermarket ECU tune. It was delivered new to Champion Porsche of Pompano Beach, Florida, and has remained registered in California since 2000 with only two owners in total. Highlighting recent service and some tasteful performance upgrades, this 996 Turbo is now being offered for auction with approximately 31k miles showing on the odometer.
The 996 Turbo features wider fenders than a contemporary Carrera along with side air intakes, flared rocker panels, unique bumpers, and a fixed rear spoiler with a hydraulic speed-activated wing. This Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (L92U) and is said to have been repainted about 10 years ago. The front spoiler lip was replaced in preparation for sale along with the installation of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for the factory 18” 911 Turbo Twist wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black full leather interior includes a matching Alcantara headliner, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, and a power-adjustable front seat with driver position memory. Other accessories include automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, a rear window wiper, and a Porsche CR-220 stereo.
Factory-rated at 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine sends power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine has been upgraded with an aftermarket ECU tune, an EVO billet diverter valve, and Europipe Stage 2 mufflers. The suspension is upgraded with Bilstein B16 PSS10 coilovers and a new clutch was installed at 19k miles. The seller adds that service performed in June 2024 includes new spark plugs, ignition coils, a serpentine belt, a fuel filter, an oil change, and a a transmission fluid flush.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, and a clean title.

Thank you for all the bids so far. This is an extremely clean Ca. two owner low mileage 996tt example. Hope it goes to a new owner today.
I'm not sure our shop didn't do the work. It was done by German auto. We will correct it and make sure all drop links are the same. We have no paint invoice.
@markd Hi, thank you, Curious as to why the links weren't swapped in unison for the same part. Also, did you find the shop invoices for when the car was repainted?
Thank you,
Here's what are shop just told.
The rear sway bar is aftermarket and likely an H&R
Also the right drop link is genuine GT2 style & lhe left is an adjustable style both are good & do not compromise the suspension

The rear sway bar appears to be an aftermarket unit as well. I don’t see any mention of it in the auction or the paperwork. Any idea what brand/make it is? Looks like it may actually be a GT3 sway. ??

@smithvolvo Thank you for the thorough reply. Just want to clarify that the Broken mount I was referring to was noted in the service records (and fixed). It its not a current issue. Much appreciated.
Thanks for pointing out the rear sway bar links. We will have new one's installed. As far as a broken rear shock mount, we will have it inspected on Monday. We just had the car in for a major service prior to listing for sale and don't know how they would have missed that. We will have it checked and repaired if needed.
We purchased the car from the original Ca. owner eleven years ago and sold it to a local customer. When we purchased it, we were informed about the paint. Original owner explained there was no body work or crash damage just some paint flaws he wanted corrected. The front bumper and sides were painted, but the roof and rear deck lid are original paint. The paint quality is factory quality and looks as good as when we sold it years ago. Previous paint work is only detectable with a paint meter, not to the naked eye. We will look through the records to see if we can find the paint invoice.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your listing. Just a few questions:
Can you please provide invoices for the paintwork? Was there any other reason other than the first owner being highly obsessive with the finish? A job of that scale would entail serious levels of detail.
I noticed that a rear shock mount was broken. Could you provide some insight? I also noticed mismatched rear sway bar drop links. The left seems to be aftermarket.
Thank you!
20 years ago I bought a used 2002 model of one of these. Still have it. Still love it!
