Up for auction is this low-mileage 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe. Quickly gaining popularity among enthusiasts, the 996 Turbo represents a tremendous value in the sports car market. Featuring the legendary Mezger engine along with exclusive factory options, this example is sure to impress anyone who gets behind the wheel. This example started its life in California and now resides in Arkansas with just 23k miles showing on the odometer.
This Turbo is finished in Seal Grey Metallic and as the photos show, the paint is in excellent condition. Other than a few minor rock chips, there are virtually no flaws showing on the exterior. Detailed photos are provided in the photo gallery. This Turbo rides an upgraded set of 997 Turbo wheels that are wrapped in new Cooper tires on the rear and older Pirelli tires on the front.

All other electronics and accessories are said to be in working order. This Turbo retains its original 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine, which is capable of producing 420HP. Power is sent to all four wheels via a Tiptronic S automatic transmission. @geldingmakr no doubt the tiptronic does have its advantages. I also have a Turbo S 6 speed but I love driving this particular car around town over the Turbo S. You are correct in the amount I paid for the car and I can assure you the reserve is lower than you might think. I don't plan on keeping either of the Turbos but the truth is that if I were to keep just one for a daily it would be this one.
@geldingmakr sorry for the slow reply. There are Pirelli tires on the front and new coopers on the rear. As for the window sticker I do t exactly have an answer for that discrepancy without a little more research.

This is a beautiful 996 with low miles. Great color, and nice contrast with the interior. Sure it’s missing the 3rd pedal, but I am actually looking for a car that both me and the rest of the family can enjoy driving (They are not proficient at the stick). The PDK turbos are out of my price range. Interestingly; this car was just sold 6 months ago (in the August 2nd of last year) for $45k, plus buyer’s fee. Not sure why it’s up for sale at Pcar so soon, but it would set my mind at ease if it was addressed, so I didn’t think the seller found a problem with the car. I can’t imagine jimmy is ready to buy new Cooper tires and take a loss on such a nice representation. I have to believe the reserve will protect him. Good luck with the auction. Wait are comments allowed on Pcar like Bat? Everyone seems so quiet here.
Couple questions. The write up says Cooper tires, but photos appear to be Pirelli? Also it says over $133k msrp but I believe the window sticker originally showed $124,690?
