Porsche unveiled the 996-generation 911 in 1999, marking a significant shift as the first water-cooled 911. This 2001 991 Carrera 4 comes finished in the seldom-seen shade of Rainforest (Jungle) Green Metallic over Black leather upholstery. Power is delivered by a 3.4-liter M96 flat-six engine, sent to all four wheels through a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. It comes equipped with heated power-adjustable front supple leather seats with lumbar support, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, a Hi-Fi sound system, xenon headlights, 17″ Carrera 4 wheels, a sunroof, and more. Showing approximately 53k miles on the odometer, this car is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio.
The last iteration of the narrow-bodied Carrera 4 was produced in the 2001 model year, and this example is presented in Rainforest (Jungle) Green Metallic. It is equipped with a power sunroof, xenon headlights with washers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, heated mirrors, and stainless-steel exhaust outlets. It rides on 17″ Carrera 4 alloy wheels with new Kumho tires recently installed, and the seller adds that multiple wheels underwent repairs in preparation for the sale. The seller notes blemishes and dents on the body, and the bumpers have undergone repainting. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report.
The interior boasts heated power-adjustable front seats wrapped in black supple leather. Additional interior amenities include Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 1 with navigation, a Hi-Fi sound system, driver-seat memory settings, front-seat lumbar support, a cassette player, a front trunk-mounted CD changer, cruise control, and automatic climate control. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.
Power is derived from a 3.4-liter M96 flat-six rated at 300 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft of torque sent to all four wheels through a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Additionally, it features Porsche Stability Management (PSM) for enhanced control. Braking is facilitated by silver calipers mounted over ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The CARFAX report indicates 24 service history records.
This sale will include a battery charger, uninstalled Bilstein dampers, manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, and a clean title.

@Docster007 sunroof works fine as it should and the car is non smoker car i dont know if it does but the car runs and drives perfect i already put 1kM on it has 0 light on dash
I like the color. Why are you selling, as it looks like you haven't owned it for very long (neither did owner #60. Anyknown issues?
Are there any maintenance records/documentation? Do you have a video with the full operation of the sunroof? How about a cold start and a driving video? Am I seeing correctly, that the drivers side interior vent is missing some slats? Is that rust in pic #98 and some visible oil on the belly pans in pics #102-104 (transmission or transfer case??) ? What are the date codes on the 17" tires.
Thank you.
Hi There,
I have a few questions, Does the sunroof work? It looks like it won't close. Was this a smoker's car, it looks like it has the ash tray option. And lastly do you know if it has the 50-state emissions equipment, since I am in CA. Love the Green Color!
Thanks
@julios1234 no sir no idea
Beautiful color! Do you know if the IMS bearing has been updated? Thank you.
