Up for auction is this 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe finished in Lapis Blue Metallic over a Savannah Beige interior. This 2001 example features a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, supple leather seats, the optional Technic Package, and an upgraded Fabspeed intake and exhaust system. Furthermore, this Carrera showcases freshly redone leather seats with custom upholstered Houndstooth centers. With a recent RMS and clutch replacement and the previous installation of an IMS bearing update, this 6-speed Carrera remains in excellent driving condition and is now being offered by its seller in Florida while showing approximately 98k miles on the odometer.
The Lapis Blue Metallic finish is said to be nicely presented with only a few small chips indicated on the passenger side front fender near the headlight (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Most of the car is believed to have been refinished at some point and CARFAX shows a minor rear-end damage in 2019 which required the refinishing of the rear bumper. This 2001 example has been equipped with aftermarket 19” Fuchs-style wheels that come dressed in healthy Continental tires.
Inside, the Savannah Beige interior features freshly reupholstered leather seats with custom Houndstooth fabric centers. An aftermarket head unit has been installed and the seller indicates all gauges and accessories to be fully functional. Factory options include supple leather front and rear seats, and the Technic package which includes Litronic Bi-Xenon headlights, headlight washers, and an on-board computer.
This first-generation 996 Carrera is equipped with a 3.4 L flat-six engine that sends 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a preferable 6-speed manual transmission. This example has been upgraded with a Fabspeed intake and exhaust system for improved power output and sound. An updated dual-row IMS bearing is said to have been previously installed and the seller carried out a rear main seal and clutch replacement along with a fluid and filter service within the last 100 miles to ensure excellent running order for the next owner.
This sale will include 1 master key, original tools, a recent service invoice, and a clean title. With some tasteful upgrades, critical maintenance items, and a visceral 6-speed manual transmission, this 996 makes an ideal selection for any driving enthusiast.

@Lundclan -That's a tough one. I'll see what I can do.
@Bill930P @AtPorsche You do a great job with moderately priced drivers cars. Great niche. You almost always convince me to buy a car a do not need. Need is overrated. Can you do some magic on a GT4 and find a reasonably priced one...cause that I "need." GLWTA!
@Lundclan - that's me ;)
BillP from BaT? Great looking car!
The recent service invoice has been submitted to PCar. Should be up shortly. If anyone needs a copy sooner, send me a message.
@Cboudak - I honestly don't know.
@Cboudak - I will be submitting that invoice to PCar shortly.
@Cboudak I don’t think they are...
Are the mods CARB legal for California?
@Bill930P @AtPorsche can that invoice be posted? Did I miss it?
@twallc4 - I do have the invoice for the RMS and clutch. It is mentioned in the invoice that the tech verify the updated IMS. I had told them to upgrade it, but he called me when it was apart, and told me it was already done.
Any receipts or documentation on the IMS work and the new clutch and RMS work. Usually there is a bar code sticker placed on the engine hood to indicate the installation of a new IMS bearing. Would love to hear the sound of this car. Thanks
@Jabbawock911 - I'm located in Miami. I will take a video of the exhaust on Monday.
Can you make a short video with exhaust sound? And where are you located. Thanks

@AtPorsche - thank you for the houndstooth lead. I’ll call them today. GLWA.
Nice looking car. Interior was tastefully done and looks great. Wheels are also a nice unique touch that sets the car apart.
@SoCalKarl - I had them done at Rivero Interiors.
This is a great looking 996 especially with the Fuchs-style rims. Might you know where the seats with the houndstooth were done? I am looking for someone to do this to one of my 996's. Thanks.
This looks fun. Will be keeping an eye on this
