Now up for auction is this 2001 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe presented in a Paint to Sample Ferrari Fly Yellow finish over a black leather interior. Said to have been originally owned and upgraded by IndyCar racing driver Paul Tracy, this Mezger-powered 996 features full TechArt body styling, upgraded K24 turbos, a Europipe muffler bypass, TechArt sway bars, Bilstein PSS10 coil-overs, and a 3-stage GIAC tune. Having spent nearly its entire life on the West Coast, this 996 was purchased by its current owner in California in 2015 at 25k miles and is now being offered for auction with approximately 60k miles showing on the odometer.
The rare and highly desirable Paint to Sample Ferrari Fly Yellow finish is said to be in fantastic condition with a ceramic coating applied. The front bumper has been recently refinished for cosmetic purposes and the seller notes a small hairline scratch on the left front fender and passenger side A-pillar. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. TechArt body panels were added including flared rocker panels, revised bumpers, headlight shrouds, and a rear decklid with a GT2-style spoiler. This 996 is rides on 19” BBS wheels and the seller recommends the tires for replacement.
The black leather interior features an aftermarket touchscreen radio, custom floor mats, racing bucket seats, and TechArt steering wheel and pedal set. All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly, although the airbag light is on due to the aftermarket seats. There are some slight wrinkles on the dash towards the windshield and the interior is said to be in great shape otherwise.
In its stock configuration, the legendary 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine delivers 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a refined 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic gearbox. Performance upgrades include K24 turbochargers, a Europipe muffler bypass, and a 3-stage GIAC tune that are said to provide for an estimated output of at least 550 HP. The handling has also been improved with TechArt sway bars and Bilstein PSS10 coil-overs. All scheduled maintenance is said to have been addressed and the seller reports the front radiators, coolant expansion tank, and front strut towers have been replaced under their ownership.
This sale will include a clean title along with the original seats and a set of TechArt high-performance headers. With some exotic modifications, a rare Paint to Sample color, and a sought-after Mezger engine, this Turbo presents an incredible opportunity for its next owner.

Wow! Nice car! I had a Panamera Turbo with TechArt similar to on your car. Phenomenal quality and easy to get parts if needed (ie replaced a scuff guard). This car was nicely done!
