Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black full leather upholstery, this 2001 Porsche 986 Boxster S is equipped with a mid-mounted 3.2-liter flat-six engine and a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels. It also came factory-equipped with optional xenon headlamps, the Heated Front Seats Package, Sport Package, a painted center console and roll bars, carbon fiber door sills, and carbon/aluminum trim for the shifter and brake handle. Fitted with an LN Engineering IMS bearing kit and new clutch under prior ownership, it was purchased by the seller in 2022 and fortified with a new water pump and thermostat the following year. This Boxster S is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 68k miles showing on the odometer.
This 986 Boxster S is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black convertible top and is distinguishable as an “S” model by its red-painted brake calipers and dual center-mounted exhaust tips. Equipment includes optional xenon headlamps with washers, fog lights, side air intakes, optional painted roll bars, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and 17” Boxster S wheels with color Porsche crest center caps. The BFGoodrich tires were installed in 2017 and show production date codes from 2016. The seller notes a few small rock chips on the hood, a mark on the rear bumper, and a slight blemish on the front passenger-side bumper. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
This Boxster S features a premium Black full leather interior with optional heated power seats, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, carbon fiber door sill model insignias, a painted body-color center console, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, and carbon fiber and aluminum trim for the shifter and brake handle. Other accessories include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, a central locking system, a removable cabin wind deflector, and an aftermarket stereo with an amplifier and CD changer.
A naturally aspirated 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 250 HP and 225 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. In 2016 at just under 46k miles, the car received an LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit, a new rear main seal, clutch, serpentine belt, outer axle boots, a crankshaft vent valve, and a brake fluid flush. In 2018, the car was serviced with a new mass airflow sensor, breather hoses, oil separator, oil filler hose, and front trunk struts. The most recent service was completed under the seller’s ownership in 2023 at 66k miles which consisted of a new water pump and thermostat.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, service records, a spare tire, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The car runs and drives very tight and strong. I would not be selling if I could keep it, but I need a third car that is teenager-friendly. You will not be disappointed with this car. This is my third 986 Boxster S and the best one I have had.”

Good morning everyone we have about 6 hours left in the auction. I am available all day to answer any questions you may have and rest assured the Boxster is safely tucked away in the garage, safe from the hurricane we are experiencing here in Florida today.
@Lindsay good morning, the car needs nothing all the major concerns have been addressed in the last 20,000 or so miles. It truly drives like a new car very tight and strong, no weird noise or rattling. I just had it detailed and parked it in the garage waiting for it’s new owner, the only thing I would do as the new owner is an oil change then enjoy. - mike
Hello seller, are there any known repairs required or possibly needed in the short term (say a year or 5k miles)?
Bid in the amount of $8,000
Yes last oil change was at 61,600 miles
Have there been any oil changes since the one in 2016 at 45,787 miles?
