Based on the two-door E46 3-Series, BMW’s third-generation M3 was introduced in 2000 featuring a new 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine. This 2002 example was first registered in New Jersey and spent time in Maryland before being imported to Canada in 2010. It comes finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission, aftermarket Braum racing seats, Dinan strut tower braces, CSL-style wheels, and a Bluetooth audio module. Said to have been maintained with VANOS service, rod bearing replacements, and a reinforced subframe, this M3 is now being offered for auction with approximately 82k miles showing on the odometer.
Compared to a standard E46 3-Series, the M3 version features unique bumpers and side skirts, wider wheel arches, front fender vents, a “power dome” hood, rounded exterior mirrors, a trunk lid spoiler, and a quad-tip exhaust. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic and rides on aftermarket 19” CSL-style wheels complemented by yellow-painted brake calipers. Other equipment includes an electric sunroof, pop-out rear quarter windows, bi-xenon angel-eye headlights, headlamp washers, front fog lights, and clear corner lights. The CARFAX report shows the vehicle was stolen and recovered in 2007 resulting in a total loss insurance claim and a salvage/rebuilt title.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather upholstery complemented by matching carpets, headliner, and brushed aluminum trim. A pair of aftermarket Braum racing seats have been installed along with a Bluetooth module for the factory radio. Other accessories include a three-spoke M Sport steering wheel, an M-branded shift knob and footrest, M3-branded floor mats and door sills, M3-specific gauges, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.
The E46 M3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine with double-VANOS variable valve timing and electronic throttle control. Up to 333 HP and 262 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This example has been modified with slotted and cross-drilled brake rotors and Dinan front and rear strut tower braces. The seller adds that the car has undergone VANOS service, rod bearing replacement, and a reinforced rear subframe. Additionally, the car was serviced with fresh fluid in October 2023 before being stored away for the winter.

AlexBert- When I attempt to buy a car, I look at Carfax first and a physical inspection next! I question why you down play the Carfax report as it only reports public records. Yes the BMW model is a great driving car and the main reason that I originally looked at the car. However, from painful experience, I have found that I must look at the driving history of the owner if possible. The performance seats were a disturbing factor. I enjoy driving fast cars, (TX highway patrol ticket for 120 on toll road) and want a safe car, total insurance recovery does not inply safe car. Your car is in Canada, I am in Texas and Carfax saves me airfare! You claim well maintained car, where are your maintenance records? Sorry on this car but I buy cars annually and look forward to your next submission. Have a great and profitable day.

E46 M3, like cousins Audi RS4 B7 & W124 500E are / were wolf 🐺 packs, designed to Cruise and Battle in the RedZone on Autobahns 🇩🇪. Not to idle around the church. Thoroughbreds. BadAss BadBoy They are. Specimens that were beat to death were crushed 10-15 years Ago. Those still shinning today ( like this one here ) are the Survivors. I sold Lotsa E46 M3 and THIS ONE HERE IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN so Far.
CarFax simply reflects car was Stolen. Recovered. insurance owned. Sold in the Market after recovery. This Event Led to this Vicious Report.

What am I missing? Total loss is not a joy ride!! In addition, there is a mileage discrepancy! Someone attempted to turn the mileage back! Plus the "Joy Ride" has race seats versus normal. Does the owner use this car for competition? Beautiful car but thanks for presenting the car, but I want a car that has not been rode hard and put up wet!!

Was/has there been any paintwork done? In the pictures (and maybe its the lighting) but the front (fenders, hood, bumper cover) looks like a different color. Any paint meter readings?

Such a beautiful car. I can't say I understand why a joyride with no damage would result in a permanently marred title, but who knows? Car seems like it drives, looks straight and clean. I wish I lived closer so I could personally examine the car.
