Up for auction is this 2002 Mercedes Benz CLK 55 AMG presented in Brilliant Silver Metallic over an Anthracite Designo leather interior. Representing the top-tier version of the first-generation CLK-class, this CLK 55 AMG is equipped with a hand-assembled 5.4 L V8 engine capable of generating over 360 HP. Also featuring the AMG Styling Package and Avant-Garde trim, this 2002 example is now being offered in fantastic overall condition by its seller in Maine while showing approximately 38k miles on the odometer.
Believed to have been garage-kept throughout its lifetime, the Brilliant Silver Metallic finish on this CLK is said to be in excellent condition except for a few minor cosmetic imperfections as depicted in the photo gallery. Ceramic coating was applied over the full exterior within the last 2 years and the convertible top is said to appear as new. Details include an Avant-Garde front grille and AMG body components including a revised front fascia, side skirts, and a special rear valence. 17” 2-piece AMG wheels are factory equipped and have also been dressed in new Michelin tires within the last 3k miles.
Inside, the driver is situated in a premium Anthracite Designo extended leather interior with decorative wood veneers on the center console, dashboard, and door panels. Creature comforts include heated seats with 3-position memory, an automatically dimming rearview mirror, rain sensor, headlight cleaning system, and Bose Sound System. The cabin is reported to be in very nice condition with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional except for the adjustable seat air cushions.
This CLK 55 is equipped with a hand-assembled 5.4 L V8 AMG engine featuring a forged billet steel crankshaft, forged connecting rods and pistons, a lightweight AMG-specific single overhead camshaft, and a twin-plug ignition. A factory claimed 363 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a robust type-722.6 5-speed automatic gearbox derived from the V12 S-class models. Other performance features unseen on the standard CLK-class include a stiffened independent suspension with larger stabilizer bars and larger disc brakes on all four corners. Standard features include an electronic stability program (ESP) and anti-lock braking system (ABS). Routine maintenance has been kept up to date by Mercedes-Benz under the current ownership including the recent replacements of the brake pads and rotors. This CLK is said to be in excellent running order with service records dating back to the original purchase.

@WELLS.FARGO-COM Sorry was out of town today, just got back. Our bottom dollar for you would be $17,000. We have 24k invested, 3000 miles ago we spent appx 3500.00 on all new brakes and new Michelin Tires. These first generation CLK55s are hard to find with low miles.
