Up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Coupe finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior. Characterized by its unique rear reflector band, Turbo-derived brakes and suspension, wide fenders, and all-wheel-drive performance, the Carrera 4S remains one of the most desirable models of the 996 generation. Designated with the “Carrera Facelift” option code 762, this example represents one of the original launch vehicles for the second-generation 996 as well as the inaugural model year for the Carrera 4S model. This 996 was configured at an original cost of over $85k with a 6-speed manual transmission, the Advanced Technic Package, and supple leather front and rear seats. With a major service recently carried out in preparation for sale including an upgraded IMS bearing, new clutch, resurfaced flywheel, and new rear main seal, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with just under 29k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features wide fenders as well as Turbo-style bumpers and a unique model-specific rear reflector band. Some slight imperfections can be seen on the front bumper, additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Carrera is optioned with the Advanced Technic Package which includes projector beam xenon headlights with high-pressure washers. Red Turbo-spec brake calipers can be seen behind the factory 18” Turbo Twist wheels dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires showing date codes from 2016.
Inside, you will find a premium black full leather interior with optional supple leather seating front and rear. As part of the Advanced Technic Package, this example features the Bose Audio System with twelve upgraded speakers along with a remote 6-disc CD changer. Additional features include heated front seats, left seat lumbar support, an Alcantara headliner, and a power-operated sunroof.
The naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine features VarioCam Plus variable valve timing and was factory rated at 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission providing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.8 seconds. The 4S also shares its brakes and suspension setup with the Turbo model. This 2002 example has recently undergone a major service that included an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade, a new rear main seal, a new clutch, and a resurfaced flywheel along with oil, coolant, and brake fluid changes.

@aboyandhisdog - just confirming that is what transpired. I was the high bidder and we were quickly able to work out the difference between my high bid and the seller's reserve number.
@aboyandhisdog Hello, if you refresh your screen you will see it was the high bidder. If a vehicle misses reserve, the high bidder gets first right of refusal to purchase the car before it hits DealTank. We simply place a quick phone call to the bidder and if they are willing to come up to the reserve, we can increase the bid on their behalf. This is what happened here. @Cooper won this vehicle.
