This 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Black over a matching full leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. It came factory-equipped with the optional Design Package, Advanced Technic Package, Arctic Silver Metallic Package, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), 18” Sport Classic wheels, and heated Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests. It was purchased by the current owner in 2012 at just over 32k miles and has been used sparingly as a weekend driver ever since. This Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts with under 49k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in Black with a matching convertible top and features bi-xenon headlights with washers as part of the Advanced Technic Package. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, and optional 18” Sport Classic wheels. The seller notes the car’s paintwork remains in very good overall condition with some small stone chips present on the front bumper. Inside, this 996 is appointed with premium Black full leather upholstery including optional heated Sport Seats with Porsche crests embossed in the headrests. It was optioned with the Arctic Silver Metallic Package (small) which adds silver-painted trim to the center console, dashboard, instrument surround, and head unit surround. The optional Design Package also adds aluminum-look instrument dials, stainless-steel door entry guards with model logos, and aluminum/leather trim for the shift knob and handbrake lever. The driver is provided with a three-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Porsche CR-220 radio. Additionally, a Bose sound system is included with the Advanced Technic Package. The seller indicates minimal signs of wear are present, and all gauges and accessories are fully functional, although some pixels have failed on the radio display.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated discs at each corner. This car was also optioned with Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The seller indicates this 996 was always regularly serviced, the IMS bearing has been replaced, and there are no outstanding maintenance items. A large collection of records accompanies the sale.
