Up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe. Due to their simple yet sleek body lines, 996 4S models have recently been gaining favor among many Porsche enthusiasts. Boasting exclusive factory options, a desirable 6-speed manual transmission, IMS replacement, and a clean bill of health, this 4S represents a fantastic opportunity to own one of the world's most recognizable sports cars. This example was sold new at Beverly Hills Porsche, eventually making its way to Florida where it currently resides with the seller in turn-key condition.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic paint, this 4S is said to be in great driver-grade condition showing slight signs of road going wear including a few rock chips and minor hairline cracks in the rear tail lights. In addition to the Turbo widebody, bespoke to the 996 4S, you will find an instantly recognizable reflector that runs across the rear deck along with a Turbo front bumper and integrated rear bumper ventilation inserts. This 4S rides on factory 18" Turbo twist wheels that wear a set of new Sumitumo HTR II tires. The seller states that 20% window tint has been installed. Overall, this 4S gives off an incredibly sporty presence.
Inside you will find a full black leather interior that stands in great condition for the vehicle's age and mileage. Minor signs of wear are present including creasing in the front seats. The seller does note that the passenger window does not detract on its own when you open the door which is a common issue on models of this era. All other electronics are in working order including the factory sunroof and navigation module. With an MSRP of over $93k, additional factory options include: Heated front seats with lumbar support, park assist, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, advanced technic package, self-dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers, and leather wrapped steering wheel. Adding to this car's already stellar driving experience is an upgraded short shift kit. The seller states that the original shifter will be included with the sale.
This 4S retains its original 3.6L flat-six water-cooled engine that is capable of producing approximately 320HP. A desirable 6-speed manual transmission sends power to all-four wheels via an advanced VC driving system. The seller chose to refresh the entire suspension leaving peace of mind for the next owner. The current setup now includes Bilstein B8 shocks, H&R sport springs, EPS front lower control arms, EPS front control arm forks, TRW inner and outer tie rods, and front Tarret Camber plates. Giving this 4S an incredible exhaust note is a factory sport exhaust that is paired with a Fabspeed intake pipe. Major service was performed on this car in both 2016 and 2017 including:

@lambolutj I purchased the vehicle in October of 2018 becoming the 6th owner. I did not include an updated carfax. Shortly after the purchase at about 108k miles (December 2018) I had performed an oil change with Pentosin oil and Mann-filter. I also have purchased parts sitting in my garage to eventually do all pulleys and belts soon. Depending on sale price I may include them to the buyer.
@kebby33 the picture of the car fax report that you posted shows 2 owners. However I just ran a new carfax report and it shows a total of 6 owners. Last purchase was reported on October of 2018. Besides the alignment, the 2 new tires and the work on the suspension, have you done any other maintenance work since your ownership ? Recommended oil change interval for 911-996 series is every 15K miles or 2 years. It shows last Oil change was done in August of 2017. Is this correct or have you had an oil change done since ?

The car is beautiful! I got the opportunity to see it in person. The only flaw I see if the tail lights have the common hairline cracks due to the design.

@BlackSlacks everything works as should for the exception of the passenger window regulator/micro switch doesn’t lower window automatically, and the navigation screen is aged. If I were to keep it I would get aftermarket wheels and that’s all. Tires have about 2k miles on them.

@Luft it's a beautiful car and the buyer will surely be happy with it, the wheels are not hollow. I searched for the hollow ones but could not justify the costs of replacing the same faced wheels. I was going for some aftermarket lighter wheels in the future.

Great cars, I own one. The driving experience is awesome. I can't find much to complain about with my ownership experience of the 996 C4S - 6 speed coupe. Looks like this car has some nice upgrades and maintenance to it -good luck with the sale.
