The black paint is noted to be in excellent condition with clear protective film applied over the front bumper, half of the front fenders and halfway up the hood.  Removable yellow “GT2” side graphics have also been applied, a collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery.  Based on the 911 Turbo platform, the GT2 is characterized by its redesigned front bumper, lowered stance and large fixed rear wing.  Standard yellow PCCB brake calipers complement the factory 5-spoke GT2 twist alloy wheels which are currently dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, this GT2 features a black leather upholstered cabin showcasing carbon fiber details and painted Sport Seats.  The interior is stated to be in exemplary condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.  Commanding an original sticker price of over $191k, this GT2 has been equipped with the following optional equipment:

  • Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
  • Cruise Control
  • Carbon Package - Small

  • Brake and Shifter in Carbon/Aluminum
  • West Coast Option

This GT2 carries a highly sought after 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine which is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with limited slip differential.  456 HP is delivered to the rear wheels, rocketing the GT2 from 0-60 MPH in under 4 seconds.  Factory performance enhancements include 20mm lowered suspension and robust PCCB ceramic composite brakes.  This GT2 has been equipped with an upgraded Car Graphic exhaust system, although the original unit will also be included in sale.  Stated to have undergone all due maintenance recently, this GT2 is said to be in excellent driving condition.

The sale of this 996 will include a set of two keys, original books and tools, service records, the original exhaust system and a copy of the original window sticker. The seller notes that Canadian buyers will need to pay 5% GST and any provincial tax outside of Alberta.  Do not miss this opportunity to own one of the most desirable water-cooled Porsche’s the road.

@jhyldahl9441 sorry, weather has been extremely wet and a historical hailstorm here recently. Haven't moved car and won't until it dries up.

    Thanks.

@nick980GT will do. Just looking for the info.

@Enthusiast Thanks for the note regarding the cap, I know it's an easy fix but its how the car is presented and I believe it would be useful to rephotograph the car so it looks complete. As you can likely guess, I'm a picky guy.

BUT you did NOT answer the important questions -
Will the DME be provided? Any track time? All original paint?
I'm not interested in buying some track beater with questionable paint.... shipping it to the US and then finding this out after I've paid for it.

@nick980GT Hello, the crest on the rim has been placed back on and had just come off while swapping rims. Put back in two days ago. There are no rock chips on hood - I think you’re seeing some dust.

The 996 GT2 is one of my favorite water-cooled cars, but I have a few questions prior to bidding. Forgive me if I missed it in the pictures & write up, but I'd like to know the following:

The DME report, it doesn't say if there's any overrevs.
Any track time on this car (photo 67 has a note about miller race track)?
Can you provide more comprehensive paint meter readings it looks like they're sparse, I'm curious for more photos of the hood as the one taken appears to show heavy rock chips (Photo 58, 6) ? How is the rest of the paint, completely original paint or has there been paint work?

Also a critique for a car of this value, with the painted crests being an option... would be good to have all four of them, you're missing the rear drivers side crest (photo 11, 12) which isn't overly concerning but it makes me question attention to detail on the car.

@Rarsenault it’s an auction - Reserves are not public - it should have no issue going to NY.

  • Rarsenault (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

What’s the reserve? Any trouble shipping to ny?

  • Enthusiast (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

As of this morning I have had the A/C recharged and it blows cold.

  • Tim997TT (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

    Thanks.... I do like the car ( I have a 2009 997 Turbo / 2014 Panamera Turbo..need a GT2) !

  • Enthusiast (seller) 3 years, 10 monthsago

@Tim997TT I have sent many US federalized cars back to the US and California specifically with no issue at all. I would research it a bit but I’ve used a Customs broker for a few hundred $ CDN and they took car of all the paperwork.

  • Tim997TT (registered bidder) 3 years, 10 monthsago

Any issues bringing the car to California..thanks
