We are pleased to offer this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Basalt Black Metallic. The flagship model of the 996 generation, the Turbo is equipped with a race-derived Mezger engine sending up to 420 HP to all four wheels. This 2002 example was optioned with a 6-speed manual transmission, rear model designation delete, and a black full leather interior with PCM, heated power seats, and a three-spoke steering wheel trimmed in wood and leather. Remaining under the care of its original owner, this Turbo has been beautifully preserved with less than 4k miles showing on the odometer and is now being offered for auction out of New York.
This wide bodywork of this Turbo comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a factory rear model designation delete. Distinctive characteristics of the Turbo include a revised front fascia with three large air inlets and a lower spoiler, Bi-Xenon headlamps with rounded edges, side air intakes, a rear spoiler with an electrically operated splitter wing, and flared rocker panels that blend into the wide rear fenders. The car is described to be in excellent condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean one-owner CARFAX report. The factory 18” Turbo wheels wear their original set of Continental SportContact 2 tires.
Inside, this Turbo sports a black full leather interior highlighting an Exclusive three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with Dark Wood trim. Other options include heated and power operated front seats with adjustable lumbar support, a remote 6-disc CD changer, and the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with navigation. The Turbo also comes standard with climate control, an Alcantara headliner, and a Bose sound system. The cabin appears very well kept and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
Derived from the 911 GT1 Le Mans race car, the 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine delivers up to 420 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Using motorsport technology and a true dry-sump design, this engine resists oil surge and is unburdened by IMS bearing issues typically associated with the 996 generation. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is accomplished in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 MPH. The brake system consists of red-painted 4-piston aluminum monobloc fixed brake calipers paired with ventilated, cross-drilled 330mm discs front and rear. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with ABS 5.7, ASR, and ABD also came standard on the Turbo. A full service and inspection were last completed by New Country Porsche of Clifton Park in August of 2020 at 3,759 miles.
This sale will include a clean title. A one-owner 6-speed 996 Turbo with less than 4k miles traveled from new, this outstanding 2002 example makes an excellent investment as well as a fine addition to any Porsche collection.

Apologies if this has been asked previously, but i didn't see it in the comments. Any issues with the rear spoiler? Still raises and lowers as it should?
I have no idea why the holes in the front lid are.. as far as accidents none ...the car has been stored during the winter months in a heated garage and yes a very careful detail I would recommend ... only once driven in the rain when coming home from a summer wedding and certainly no winter driving
Great to see this low mileage Turbo garage queen. I own a pretty much similar 996TT with even lower 2300 original miles. Amazing and very solid car. Dont be afraid of the oily smear on the engine pics. Porsche was known to use a lot of coating wax which accumulates when hot on the lower engine parts. Service records are unimportant in my eyes. What should they service? Brake fluid yes, but with no temperature cycling it wont collect much water. It is more and all about storage conditions and humidity. This one may need a good detailing but there is so much room left in the actual pricing of 63.000$!. Look 10 years into the future: 30year old classic icon, stick shift, no restrictions by assistance and safety systems. What will this be worth in the electric future?

Beautiful car. Quick question, what is on picture 81 in the area where the holes are to access the hood emblem. Is that grease or a form of white filiform corrosion coming from the edge of the metal. Does it wipe off?
Also, has the car ever been damaged, touched up or painted in any areas?

we are taking pictures of the underside of the car shortly and will look for the star stamped on the interior aspect of the rims. unfortunately it is raining right now so driving it at this moment is unlikely...maybe this afternoon depending upon the weather . if it would help we can start the car and show all the gauges and lights working
@baker1100rs @baker1100rs…..with regards to the hollow spike wheels. There is a four star cast on the inside of each rim. Probably needs to be put on a lift to inspect and see. I think they are hollow spoke (from factory).

@MP4Motorsport The care is very low and we have no way to lift it up. We'll give it try tomorrow with a camera and download whatever photos we get.
Also, this might be answered by the Pcar community. Are the turbo twist wheels on this car hollow spoke or solid? I had an 04 C4S which had solid. I was hoping this Turbo came with hollow spike light weight wheels?

How many oil/filter changes since new. Only see one. Also how many brake/clutch fluid flushes.
