Up for auction is this low-mileage 2002 996 Turbo X50 finished in Seal Grey over black.  Featuring an aerokit installed after purchase (factory parts), X50 power package and distinctive wide-body styling, this Turbo represents one of the more desirable water-cooled 911’s on the market.  This one-owner example currently shows under 15k miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction in excellent condition by a seller in Florida.

Finished in Seal Grey Metallic, this Turbo is said to remain in exceptional cosmetic condition with the only flaw noted as being an area of damage to the bumper that has since been fixed (reference damage report on Carfax).  Paint protection film covers the entire front-end of the vehicle, ensuring peace of mind for the next owner.  A couple of exterior features include a desirable aerokit rear wing and a set of original factory turbo-twist alloy wheels which come wrapped in Pirelli tires.

Accompanied by an original build sheet totaling $137,980, this 996 is optioned in a sleek black full leather interior that boasts the optional Design Package, Porsche crested headrests, and an exterior paint-matched center console.  Creature comforts include heated front seats as well as a radio with 6-disc CD changer.  The interior is reportedly in excellent condition, and all gauges electronics and accessories are stated to be fully functional.  This is a truly well-sorted example

This Turbo’s impressive 3.6 L flat-six engine is further enhanced by the optional X50 package which consists of a revised ECU, quad-pipe exhaust, and larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers.  With these enhancements, this 996’s turbocharged Mezger engine is capable of putting out 444 HP to all four wheels by way of a proper 6-speed manual transmission.  0-60 is achieved in a blistering 3.7 seconds while top speeds of over 190mph have been recorded.  This Turbo is stated to be up-to-date on all due maintenance and the seller has indicated that a folder full of records will be provided in the sale.

The Mezger engine is regarded by many Porsche experts as the ultimate water-cooled engine.  This GT1 derived engine doesn’t suffer from IMS bearing related issues as its oil system ensures constant lubrication.  As far as 996’s go, this is one of the more reliable models available

The sale of this pristine 996 Turbo will include two sets of keys, original owner’s manuals and a clean Carfax report.  Prepared for immediate delivery to its next owner, this Turbo is offered in ready-to-drive condition with a clear title and a collection of service records.

Congratulations seller. You have worked this sale up to bid in the low forties for a $55-60,000 car. Good job. Suggest you look up "obfuscate" in your Funk and Wagnells. You might learn something.

@Chuck246cp If you read the last comment , I said that I would be glad to BUY AND INSTALL the oem areokit front lip for the winning buyer at no cost !!!

    @Chuck246cp thanks for
Your input , we couldn’t go without your comments , your a legend

I have several nice cars; a GT3.... a 996 turbo x50 with FACTORY AERO on the buildsheet. Seller, your credibility on this car is not good. First, the front factory splitter ,that you don't have, is not $200-$300 as you say. They are closer to $1000 after paint to match. Do your homework. Then there is something about a deer.....you should address and clarify. This car has too many "stories" to sell as a pristine low mileage representation.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@Bruno911 agreed , I can offer to buy it for them
And get it installed for whoever purchases the car

  • Bruno911 4 years, 5 monthsago

@allthingsporsches “Factory” means it was put on at the factory. “Kit” means it has all the components. What’s on this car meets neither definition. What you have here is a car with an OEM rear wing from an Aerokit. Without the correct front splitter you’re missing half of the “kit”. You’re a Porsche dealer so I suspect you already knew all this. Also when you buy the entire OEM aerokit after the car is delivered, it comes with a big warning that the rear wing should never be installed without the accompanying front splitter because it will change the balance of the car at high speeds. Whoever buys this should install the correct front splitter.

Why was my question with comment deleted about the car? Is this the car that was listed on rennlist , if so it hit a deer. The seller deleted all info but when i asked for photos he ignored me.

  • PCARMARKET 4 years, 5 monthsago

Due to the comments and questions, we have revised the listing notating that the aerokit was installed after purchase using factory parts.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@GlennG this is indeed a FACTORY AREOKIT , factory means it’s not an aftermarket part , it’s an oem factory porsche aerokit , weather it was added after and not in the msrp doesn’t mean it’s not an oem porsche aerokit , this isn’t just a regular back aftermarket spoiler added

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@OakMan as stated earlier car has a full front clear bra , maybe that’s why it seems darker , it doesn’t seem like this car is for you , so I would appreciate if you stopped with your comments thanks

  • GlennG 4 years, 5 monthsago

@porschecollector thanks for chiming in but why are you answering as if you're the seller? Is this your car? I'm assuming not since you're also bidding on it. From a valuation standpoint there is a big difference between having a "factory areokit" and having a spoiler added from an aerokit. That's what I wanted clarification on. I think the description is misleading if this was just an added spoiler. This looks like a really nice car either way. GLWA.

  • OakMan 4 years, 5 monthsago

@allthingsporsches Porsche designed the aero kit to work in unison. Another detail that is noticeable is it appears the fenders hood have been painted as the panel match appears darker.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@allthingsporsches This front chin spoiler is easily scratched or scraped and can be easily changed , with the cost of around 200/300 bucks , don’t think it should be of any worry here , WE GOT YOUR POINT @oakman

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@OakMan your response was deleted cuase you attached a 3rd party site , they don’t want that here , you can’t attach any sites or peoples phone numbers automatically gets deleted , about the little front spoiler , I think you have pointed that out more than once and making too much of a big deal about a small front chin spoiler on. A 14 thousand mile x50 car that’s the one of the few on the market sir , if it’s not for you we understand , but don’t think there’s a point. Of commenting about this spoiler anymore , thanks

  • OakMan 4 years, 5 monthsago

@porschecollector LAME why was my response deleted with the link to a completely original aero kit? This turbo doesn’t have the front spoiler and and side rockers. Somethings not kosher.

  • porschecollector (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@GlennG the areokit is factory , it was added , but it is for sure a factory porsche aerokit , have no idea on the deer

  • porschecollector 4 years, 5 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $42,500

  • GlennG 4 years, 5 monthsago

Why is the aerokit not listed on the factory option list? Did this car come with the factory aerokit as stated in the description or is it just a dealer installed rear spoiler? As was already pointed out the front splitter is not the factory aerokit part either. Can seller please clarify? Also, what is the comment about hitting a deer?

  • OakMan 4 years, 5 monthsago

@allthingsporsches another noticeable changed detail are the lower rocker panels should be painted body color. This one has just standard black non aerokit version.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

    @allthingsporsches spoiler *

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@OakMan the one shown is the areokit front spoiler , we have a yellow car turbo s 996 same spirited with factory areokit

  • OakMan 4 years, 5 monthsago

@allthingsporsches thank you, since the car is shown with the out the factory front aero kit I assumed the accident may have been more extensive than just front bumper. With that said where is the front aero kit spoiler? The one shown is the standard non aero kit that is painted.

  • allthingsporsches (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@OakMan there was no damage on the body at all , it had to have been the front bumper , something tiny , cuase the car is all original and has the whole front covered in clear bra ! Has all the records since new , 1 owner car , in perfect condition with new tires , air filter and engine filter just changed as well , really fresh , happy bidding
