We are pleased to offer this rare and incredibly sought-after 2002 Renault Sport Clio ‘Lutecia’ V6 Phase 1 finished in silver over a blue interior. Branded as a Renault Lutecia for the Japanese market, this Phase 1 2002 example is said to have remained a 1-owner vehicle in Japan up until being purchased by its current owner in the U.A.E. during 2017. Easily one of the greatest hot hatchbacks of all time, the Phase 1 Clio V6s were built in Sweden by Tom Walkinshaw Racing and feature a mid-mounted 3.0 L V6 engine that drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. With all routine service up to date and approximately 174k kilometers (108k miles) showing on the odometer, this Renault V6 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Dubai.
The silver paint on this Renault is said to be in exceptional condition with a ceramic coating applied. The seller also states that an inspection was carried out in Japan prior to their purchase that found the paint to be all original (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Notable styling features include flared fenders and rocker panels, side air scoops, and dual central exhaust tips. This example retains OEM 18” Renault OZ Superleggera wheels.
Inside, the blue interior is said to be in good condition with some signs of wear. Compared with a standard Clio, the V6 features heavily bolstered front sport seats, “Renault Sport” gauges, deleted rear seats, and an engine cover in lieu of the rear cargo space. An aftermarket radio has been installed and the original radio will also be included in the sale. All gauges and accessories are reported to be functioning properly and the A/C is said to have been recently serviced.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.0 L V6 ES9 engine that was sourced from the PSA group and factory upgraded to achieve an output of approximately 230 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission providing for a driving experience unlike any other hot hatchback. The timing belt, water pump, and head gasket are said to have been replaced at 128k kilometers in 2015, and recent maintenance carried out within the last 3 months is said to include all-new engine belts and tensioners, an oil change, and a new battery.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, some assorted spare parts, the original radio, toolkit, and a clean title. This limited-edition hot hatchback is qualified for registration in many parts of the world and will be legal for U.S. import in 2026. The spiritual successor to the original Renault 5 Turbo, this Japanese-market Lutecia V6 offers a very special opportunity for any car collector.

@UAE don’t know how final bid end up, but the real issue is that you can not register this car in USA for another 7 years. I assume majority of bidders on PCM is US buyers.
@nicooliven thanks for your kind words and I am sure that someone will get to the real value of the car as the bids so far are way below expectations. So far the numbers are not realistic.
@UAE hello,
Let’s see the final price you can get from Pcarmarket.
I am interesting in the car and I am in Abu Dhabi.

@nicooliven This is a much better platform in terms of genuine buyers who really understand and value the car.
@UAE Hello,
Shall you post your car in Dubizzle?
Thanks,
Nicolas, Abu Dhabi
@DriverM It might require changing the brake pads sometimes soon.

I love this car! Is it in need of any work at all?
Hi everyone,
First of all, I wish that everyone is safe during these difficult times.
I am a car enthusiast and I love to collect cars and enjoy driving them once in a while. I am selling this lovely, fun to drive car in order to have space for my other car that I got home from storage to enjoy driving. It is hard on me as I spent almost a year to find it but I had my moments with it and now it's for someone else to enjoy.
Wish you all a successful bidding.
