Now up for auction is this 2003 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Coupe finished in Guards Red over black full leather. The top-range Carrera model of the 996 generation, the all-wheel-drive 4S sports wide fenders and Turbo-derived bumpers, wheels, and brakes. This 6-speed 2003 example was ordered with optional supple leather seats, exclusive aluminum shifter and handbrake inlays, footwell lighting, and seats with Porsche crested headrests and Guards Red safety belts. It was acquired after its original owner in 2017 at just 15k miles and has since received an upgraded LN Engineering MS bearing, a new clutch, and a new rear main seal. Accompanied by its original window sticker totaling just under $90k, this Carrera 4S is being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma showing approximately 28k miles on the odometer.
This 4S comes finished in Guards Red with optional xenon headlamps, a rear window wiper, and 18” Turbo-look wheels with colored Porsche center crests. The seller notes the hood, front and rear bumpers were refinished for cosmetic purposes by Hourglass Collision, a Porsche-certified repair shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Clear paint protection film covers the hood, front bumper, fenders, mirrors, A-pillars, and the leading edge of the roof. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport N3 tires from 2016 and the seller notes minor pitting on the windshield, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black full leather interior is highlighted by exclusive seatbelts in Guards Red, Porsche crest embossed headrests and aluminum inlays for the shifter and handbrake lever. Factory equipment includes automatic climate control, optional supple leather seats, exclusive footwell lighting, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. Aftermarket additions include a Pioneer touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay, a Rennline aluminum pedal set, Rennline magnetic phone mount, and BlendMount radar detector mirror mount. The original Porsche radio is said to accompany the sale.
The 3.6L flat-six engine produces up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, driving all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The braking system of the Carrera 4S is borrowed from the 911 Turbo and this example features a set of aftermarket Fister mufflers for a more aggressive tone. The seller reports an upgraded LN Engineering IMS bearing was installed at 20k miles along with a new clutch and rear main seal. Routine oil changes have been completed at 3k-mile intervals.

@soft_dough there were no signs of bore scoring due to the car only having 28k miles and never really driven hard. It’s a true garage queen.
Take it bore scoping was done above and below skirts at time of installing LN bearing?
