Equipped with a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox, this 2003 Porsche 996 GT2 was once the most high-performance road-going Porsche 911 ever produced. It comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black leather interior with optional deviated stitching, additional leather trim, carbon fiber inlays, and red seatbelts. This GT2 was sold new in Pennsylvania and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York showing just under 20k miles on the odometer.

Based on the 996 Turbo, the GT2 sports wide bodywork with rear side air intakes as well as a unique fixed rear wing, a more aggressive front end, a larger front splitter, and reshaped air inlets for increased cooling. This example comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes. Yellow ceramic brake calipers can be seen behind factory 18” Turbo Look II wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The black full leather interior is accented by deviated stitching, red seatbelts, and instrument dials in aluminum look. Additional leather upholstery covers the rear center console and Sport Seat backrests. Other options include carbon fiber and aluminum inlays for the shifter and handbrake, Porsche crested headrests, a steering wheel in carbon fiber, and door sills in carbon fiber.

Producing as much as 456 HP and 457 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Standard performance features include a lowered sport-tuned suspension, adjustable anti-roll bars, and ventilated Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The CARFAX report shows an oil and filter change completed at R. Fischer Motors of Barrington, Illinois, in August 2022.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

A new video showing the front bumper has been added to the listing page.

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@hot-rods-to-hell it appears to be thePPF, we will add a video to illustrate this.

  • hot-rods-to-hell (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Photos 26 & 27 show what looks like some sort of damage to the front bumper. Is it reflection or ppf or ?

Beautiful looking GT2. I have a 2002 GT2 that I drive often and have for years. It's my favorite of all of my cars to drive. One easy way to notice a tune is to look at what bar it's running under full throttle in 3rd gear. 996 GT2s should run 1 bar. So if it's running 1.2 (a common and safe tune) then it probably has a tune on the ECU. One of these in stock form is wonderful to throw around if you know how to adjust your throttle to control the rear end.

That DME report looks fine and normal for 996 Turbo/GT2. Listen to how the car starts up, sounds at idle and drives is more important. You'll hear serious damage.

I will add that the last Range 1 and 2 looks like they happened basically when the car was driven last. Someone was either having a last hurrah with their car before they sold/traded it or new person had no idea how to drive and banged it off the rev limiter, downshifted too early, missed a shift and engine went over red line just a little etc. It's anyone's guess but these Mezgers will take a beating more than most engines if properly maintained. I have 2 996 Mezger cars and they are the most driven and most reliable.

I'd be bidding on this one if I didn't already have one. Good Luck!

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@vengerider not running any tune to our knowledge, all appears to be stock

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@EUROsellinc Is this car running a tune? Seems someone did some heavy loads as per the DME very recently.

  • ABD20152 (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

She is a prize beauty! The Last one Sold for $250K - I believe it was my black window maker. She will be missed. I never enjoyed driving any other GT Series as raw as my now past 2003 996 GT2. Goodluck!

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@hot-rods-to-hell I am not the same seller. The car was traded in another Porsche and I obtained it. I’m a licensed dealer and selling it as such. Happy to answer any further questions.

  • signalMTB (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@hot-rods-to-hell car didnt meet reserve on bat

  • hot-rods-to-hell (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@EUROsellinc did you purchase from BAT seller or are you selling for that owner? Thank you

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@hot-rods-to-hell hello and thank you for the interest. I am not the same seller as the previous auction. @porschecollector I noticed the same thing. Many people were commenting that they couldn't bid and the auction seemed to end prematurely, I can promise that the good people at Pcar won't let that happen!

I had someone with the proper scanner stop by yesterday and do the DME, it is at the end of the photo gallery. Thanks for the interest and you are more than welcome to come inspect before bidding should you choose to.

  • porschecollector (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@hot-rods-to-hell funny just looked thru the comments on this car on bat , everyone saying amazing car looks like some kind of glitch happened with that auction at the end , everyone commenting how it turned off prematurely

  • hot-rods-to-hell (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

Sorry meant to say what date was the DME done, thank you

  • hot-rods-to-hell (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@EUROsellinc...are you same seller that had this on BAT earlier this year? What is ownership history and has a DME report been done, thank you

  • GruppeG (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

This is stunning... Top of the 996 chain

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@jmitro I do believe it is the way the photos came out. In person that is not visible. However, when I am near the car again tomorrow, I will look at it one more time and if there happens to be a discoloration I will report back. . This is a stellar example, Bid with confidence!

  • EUROsellinc (seller) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    @navchak thank you.

  • trapperbay 1 year, 5 monthsago

@jmitro I don't wat to speak for the seller but I have had the same weird results when photographing a PPF/metallic paint car with a polarized filter/lens.

can you comment on some photo distortion on the front bumper cover in photos 12 and 13? is it lighting effect from PPF?
    awesome car, GLWS!
