Now available is this 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo X50 finished in Orient Red Metallic over a brown natural leather interior. Featuring a sought-after twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine with the optional X50 Power Kit, this 2003 example offers the same performance as the later 996 Turbo S model. After spending most of its life in southern California, this Turbo made its way to Georgia where it has been properly maintained over the past 5 years. Having undergone some noteworthy recent service items, this 996 is said to be in fantastic condition with approximately 37k miles on the odometer. Showcasing a rare and attractive color combination as well as a 6-speed manual transmission, this Turbo X50 is the ideal 996 for a discerning Porsche enthusiast.
Stated to have always been garage kept, the Orient Red Metallic finish is noted to be in excellent condition with a professional detail recently performed. Exterior features include wide fenders with rear side air intakes and optional stainless-steel exhaust pipes. A Rennkit electronic rear spoiler upgrade has been installed which offers the same function as the factory spoiler system but with greater reliability. This Turbo rides on 3-piece Kinesis K28R lightweight forged aluminum wheels which come dressed in Sumitomo tires that are recommended for replacement in the near future.
This Turbo has been appointed with a premium brown natural leather interior with supple leather front and rear seats. The cabin is stated to be in very nice condition with all gauges and accessories remaining fully functional. Commanding an original sticker price of over $141k, this Turbo has been equipped with exclusive options including a remote 6-disc CD changer, the Leather Interior Package, Savanna Beige floormats and a 3-spoke steering wheel in leather.
Power comes from a 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine equipped with the desirable X50 Turbo Power Kit. Sought after for its race-derived design and resistance to IMS bearing related issues, the Mezger flat-six engine is commonly regarded as one of the greatest Porsche engines of all time. 450 HP is distributed to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4 seconds. The X50 kit includes larger intercoolers and K24 turbochargers as well as a revised ECU and exhaust system providing an increase of 30 HP over the standard Turbo model. This 996 has also been upgraded with a dealer-installed Porsche short throw shifter. The following service items are noted to have been carried out over the past year:

@Airliner1 Thank you. It is indeed a beauty. I hate to sell it, but I turn 73 this year and my compressed L5 disk does not like it when I get in and out of the car, so passing it along to someone else to enjoy.

@Mercyhealth I would put Orient Red in between Guards Red and Arena Red. Guards Red is not metallic so does not have the deep color or shine like ORM and Arena. Arena Red is a darker red and tends to really vary in color depending on the amount of sun light.
