Now up for auction is this 2003 Porsche 986 Boxster finished in Black over a black standard leather interior.  This 2003 example was purchased new from Stoddard Imported Cars and remained under the care of its original owner up until 41k miles.  The second owner of the car added approximately 30k miles over the course of 14 years before it was acquired by the current owner in Pennsylvania about 6 months ago.  All the recommended service items are said to have been addressed including the recent installation of a new clutch, rear main seal, and IMS bearing.  Featuring a 5-speed manual transmission, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and optional 17” wheels, this 986 is now being offered for auction while showing approximately 72k miles on the odometer.

This Boxster is finished in Black with a matching black soft top and is said to have been garage kept throughout its life.  The seller notes only a few very minor signs of road-going wear, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  Exterior features include a power-operated top with a glass rear window and defogger, a speed-activated rear spoiler, roll-hoops behind the seats, and optional 17” Boxster S II wheels which come dressed in tires dated from 2010.

Inside, this Boxster is appointed with a black standard leather interior featuring an optional remote-control alarm system, cabin wind deflector, cruise control, and Bose digital sound system.  The cabin is described to have been very well preserved and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly including the original Porsche CDR23 radio.

This second-generation 986 Boxster is equipped with a mid-mounted 2.7L flat-six engine that sends up to 228 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.  The example came with optional Porsche Stability Management (PSM) as well as standard performance features including Variable Camshaft Control, front and rear stabilizer bars, and a 4-piston monobloc brake system.  Upon the seller’s purchase within the last year, this 986 was brought to a local mechanic for a full inspection and recommended service including an oil change, coolant flush, new brake pads and rotors, a new clutch, rear main seal, and IMS bearing.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals, window sticker, spare tire, and a clean title.  For any driving enthusiast in search of a mid-engine roadster, this 2003 Boxster 5-speed is not to be overlooked.

@Drive4fun the listing details some of the service said to be done on the car, but does not say that the sale includes any service paperwork.
Are records included with the car? How far back do they go?
How many sets of keys do you have? Tool kit?
    This car presents well! GLWS!

I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has - just ask here in the comments as I will be checking regularly. I really like this car as it just seems to do everything right. Why am I selling it then? I bought this car for my wife and it turns out she's not as comfortable driving a stick shift as she thought she would be (she was driving a 5-speed when I met her 30 years ago). So, we don't need it just sitting in the garage. A few months ago I took it on a 6 hour group tour through the Pennsylvania mountains and it performed flawlessly. It truly is a joy to drive. It's only been out of the garage a few times since then. It's been fully serviced and it's ready to be enjoyed by someone who like driving a stick shift. By the way, she's been looking for an automatic Boxster... Thanks.
