In 2004, the updated AP2 generation of Honda’s S2000 sports car was introduced featuring a retuned suspension, updated styling, carbon fiber gearbox synchronizers, and a larger 2.2-liter engine that offered increased peak torque. This AP2 launch-year example comes finished in Sebring Silver Metallic over a black leather interior and was cared for by three previous owners before it was purchased by the seller in 2022. Showing just over 9k miles on the odometer, this S2000 is now being offered for auction out of South Carolina.

Compared to the original S2000, the AP2 model received new LED taillights and redesigned headlamps along with new bumpers and oval-shaped exhaust tips. This S2000 is finished in Sebring Silver Metallic with a black convertible top and factory 17” alloy wheels that received new Continental ExtremeContact tires within the last year. The seller states that a rebuilt title was previously issued in 2004 after front-end damage was sustained at the original selling dealership when the car was new. As a result, the hood, bumper, and one of the front fenders were reportedly replaced. A new clean title has since been issued by the state of South Carolina. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.

The black leather interior offers amenities including pushbutton ignition, air conditioning, power windows and locks, cruise control, a front center console, and a 4-speaker sound system with a concealable AM/FM/CD stereo. A three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a digital speedometer and bar-style tachometer with an 8k-RPM redline. Carpet floor mats are included, and the convertible top also features an optional glass rear window.

A 2.2-liter F22C1 DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine with V-TEC variable valve timing delivers an output of up to 240 HP and 162 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Other features include variable-assist rack and pinion steering, and four-wheel double-wishbone independent suspension. The seller states the car is free of any aftermarket performance modifications or outstanding maintenance items.

This sale will include a clean title.

Thanks for the recent bids. As far as shopping goes that will be up to the buyer to handle that. There are tons of auto transport companies and I believe Pcarmarket can assist with this. Time is running out, let's get this perfect Ap2 sold!

Hatman you are correct, it is rare to see one in this condition with super low miles on the original engine. The S2000 packs more smiles per gallon than any other car I'm aware of. The V TEC experience is thrilling. Whoever ends up with this car will be a very happy member of the S 2000 experience!

  • HatMan 11 monthsago

Wow! It's really hard to find these cars under 100k miles on the original engine!

Hello all and thanks for checking out my S2000 auction. This is the third S2000 I've owned and this one is a peach! The car is in outstanding condition mechanically and cosmetically. It drives and rides wonderfully. You are looking at a car that is so very pristine. It looks like a new car. My name us Marc and should you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them. Thanks, and good bidding!
    Marc
