This 2004 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Cabriolet comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic over a matching full leather interior. It was optioned with a Tiptronic S transmission, the BOSE High-End Sound Package, Aluminum Look Package, Bi-Xenon headlights, 18” SportTechno wheels, and more. Offering all-wheel-drive performance and an open-air driving experience, it is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing approximately 104k miles on the odometer.

Compared to a standard 996 Carrera, the 4S includes wider fenders, side skirts, and red-painted brakes derived from the 911 Turbo as well as a model-specific reflector spanning between the taillights. This example comes finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a matching cabriolet roof and rides on black-finished 20” aftermarket wheels. The factory-optioned set of 18” SportTechno wheels with tires is said to accompany the sale. Light tint has been applied to the optional Bi-Xenon headlamps. The seller notes a small ½” scratch on the passenger side wheel well. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the left rear side of the car in April 2011.

The cabin is appointed with Black full leather upholstery accented with the optional Aluminum Look/Stainless Steel/Chrome Package. Additional options include heated seats, front seat lumbar support, and the BOSE High-End Sound Package. The seller adds that an aftermarket Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay has been installed along with a Kenwood amplifier, rearview camera, and grey-finished trim pieces. Some signs of wear are noted along the driver’s seat, driver’s door panel, and plastics & gauges.

The Carrera 4S is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six engine rated at 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a 5-speed Triptronic S automatic transmission. Equipment includes 4-piston fixed alloy calipers, ventilated cross-drilled discs, front and rear stabilizer bars, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), and Automatic Brake Differential (ABD). The seller states there are currently no outstanding maintenance items, and the CARFAX report shows a total of 27 service entries dating back to January 2007.

This sale will include a clean title (lien).

The seller would like you to know: “It is one of the best looking see C4S out there. It is super clean and runs perfectly not one issue. It is a must-see incredible car.”

@Grbrblue this car has a clean title with a lien owed to the bank. The winning bidder will be guided through the process to pay the lien and pay the seller the balance to ensure they receive title.

@CarCollector48 @CarCollector48 hi please be advised that the auction sales are final, we would highly recommend that if you have concerns such as these, you arrange a pre purchase inspection prior to bidding. Since this car is ending shortly that will be near impossible to carry out. Our staff is always available if you would need a resource or some tips to handle such concerns. Thank you for using PCARMARKET.

@ezsurf Are you willing to stand behind your vehicle and accept it back if there is damage from the accident more than just a bumper? The IMS Bearing scares me but I am aware of it, the accident scares me more. Do you have a Title or is there still money owed to a bank?

  • CarCollector48 (registered bidder) 8 months, 1 weekago

Do you have any pictures of the stock wheels? Do they have tires on them, if so what is the tread life remaining? Thanks

  • ezsurf (seller) 8 months, 1 weekago

@ezsurf what I meant to say is nothing on the frame was damaged or cut away or anything like that just a bumper was replaced

  • ezsurf (seller) 8 months, 1 weekago

@CarCollector48 so I asked the dealership they showed me underneath everything and nothing was replaced. It was a thing on the rear right side bumper and just the bumper was replaced.

@Seller - Do you know anything about how major the accident was?

  • ezsurf (seller) 8 months, 1 weekago

@DEatros so I bought it from Land rover a year ago I purchased from them because I wanted to make sure that everything was done and everything was inspected. It runs perfect no engine lights have ever been on. I would assume the IMS bearing has not been replaced but according to Land Rover and Porsche, it should not be replaced. The ones that failed failed in the first 10,000 miles of a car.

  • DEatros (registered bidder) 8 months, 1 weekago

Hi EZSurf. Has the IMS Bearing been replaced? Thank you.

@Jwkjr1 I purchased a car from Range Rover last year. They did all the service and made sure everything was perfect. That's why I bother going on have any issues. No lights of ever been on. Mines perfect I would assume the IMS has not been changed but according to Porsche, I shouldn't need to.
