Equipped with a twin-turbocharged Mezger engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet is finished in Carmon Red Metallic over a Black full leather interior. It comes equipped with optional 18” GT3 wheels, heated seats, Porsche-crested headrests, carbon fiber interior pieces, and the aluminum/chrome trim package. The car was sold new in Washington and remained on the West Coast until 2021 before moving to Virginia where it was purchased by the current owner at a Mercedes-Benz dealer in 2022. Showing approximately 26k miles on the odometer, this Turbo Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of New York.
The 996 Turbo features wider bodywork than a contemporary Carrera along with unique bumpers, side skirts, side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. This example is finished Carmon Red Metallic with a black convertible top, a matching removable hardtop, and optional 18” GT3 wheels. The optional aluminum-chrome package includes exclusive stainless-steel exhaust pipes. New Michelin tires were reportedly installed about 4 years ago and clear paint protection film is applied to the nose and mirror caps. The seller adds that the car has been garage-kept and sparingly driven under their ownership, describing the exterior to be in excellent overall condition apart from a small dent on the hood. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin features Black leather upholstery complemented by an optional carbon fiber and aluminum gear knob and brake handle, aluminum-look instrument dials, and stainless-steel door entry guards with Turbo model logos. Other accessories include heated power seats with Porsche-crested headrests, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and a remote 6-disc CD changer.
A twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine delivers up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 4 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and 330mm cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller indicates the car was fully serviced upon their purchase in 2022 including an oil change and brake fluid flush. The fuel filter was also recently replaced by the seller.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a spare tire, a removable hardtop, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car is absolutely perfect! Drives amazing, no issues at all, you sit in the car, and you think it’s brand new. The convertible top is like new, I think I was the first to use it once I removed the hardtop. I purchased the car 3 years ago from a Porsche/ Mercedes store that did a full maintenance oil change, brakes, tires before I bought it. Just gas and enjoy! This is an amazing example, wish I had more room to keep it.”

Beautiful car. I have nearly the exact car except it is red and has a few very minor engine tweaks. Mine has 33k miles on it. I am really interested to see what this one brings. Hopefully more than $45k. GLWTS!
Carmona Red is such a beautiful color in the sun light. I drove a 997 Cab home from Dallas to Florida a few years ago and got so many positive comments at every stop. This is a great looking 996!
Good morning Bidders! Only a few hours left to fetch this gen!! Good luck and happy bidding!! Sad to let this one go😔
@mickykay I will take the over! Pretty special car. Mezger turbo, drop top, uncommon color, etc.
Repainting the hood hardly affects value. This gorgeous turbo is a wonderful ride. The value lies in the driving experience.
Great looking turbo. Should at least see a “6” in front of the high bid. GLWTA.
yes the hood can be fixed . but honestly you really don’t notice it unless your really focusing on the spot which is very small

I am going to try to take a video in a little bit. The car is back in storage inside. I’ll try to do my best but I think the picture is less than an inch and it’s not corrosion.
@CrankiestOne there is absolutely not any corrosion at all!! Car never driven in the rain .
Would like to see a walk around video that shows the damage on the hood. Is there corrosion there (or anywhere else)? Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $29,996
Bid in the amount of $26,000
Good Am, the mark on the hood is less then an inch . I got the car with it did not want to fix it because I did not want any paintwork on the car. To answer the question as far as paintwork None! Car is all original. Don’t have a paint meter.
Hi,
Where the picture 27 damage is. How big it really is? Paint reading please? Any paint jobs?
Bid in the amount of $24,996
Good Evening! Sorry for the late response, I was traveling. The car has the original PCM head unit. The car is all original , nothing has been changed from factory.
The top is stored in my basement , don’t know what more you need to see, not a mark on it.
THANKS!!
Looks like an amazingly well-kept car! GLWTA!
Bid in the amount of $22,996
Are there additional pictures available, especially of the hardtop (on the car preferably). Has the PCM been updated? Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $19,996
